It's hard to say what Ivan's intentions are with the backrooms but something is definitely going on with him. Something really interesting is the song that was used for the prototype video is called "Congratulations, Ivan". Did he get what he wanted? Is that a sarcastic congratulations? Intriguing...

@@sketchups4672 It was only a fragment used there. I believe Kane holds the full track for the ending scene/titles. It doesn't sound sarcastic or otherwise "off" to me, rather glorifying and calming, which might mean the intentions were really good, yet the road was long and not straightforward. Still not sure what he achieved at the end, it's unlikely people will use the Backrooms, though FF2 might suggest at least some parts were occupied as of 1996 (the white rooms visible thru keyhole). Yet it was still kept in secret for some reason as the girl behind the camera didn't recognize the place. Amazing track, anyway.

@@AntonOliinyk @AntonOliinyk I think async as a whole organisation have good intentions, and while I don't think there will be a "bad guy", I am open the idea someone knows or is doing a little more than what is shown. We've already seen the company is willing to suppress incidents to achieve their goal so it doesn't seem too farfetched. As for Ivan however, only time will tell, but he is clearly going to be one of the main characters throughout this series. Another thing that you may find interesting is on kane's music channel he has a 12 minute composition titled "IVN" (probably for Ivan) the track itself is rather ominous and I'd describe the music as feeling "unsure". It's accompanied by the thumbnail of a very strange figure surrounded by similar green lights. It does make me wonder what is in store for Ivan to have a 12 minute ominous composition named after him. Also the thumbnail almost reminds me of a player entering creative mode and having godlike powers, and since we've already seen that the green light seems to be related to the backrooms changing, it may not be as wild as I first thought. it would be great to have your thoughts on this? You are right about the stuff the girl discovered. I haven't had an explanation for the door or the holes in the floor and wall but I like your theory for it being a part of those projects.

@@sketchups4672 The IVN track thumbnail is a blurred frame from the video "IVN Live Performance ft. Anthony Dawkins (Found Footage) (REAL)", a 14s video of some weird concert with a man performing in front of lazer lights and Anthony Dawkins (or Ivan Beck?) portrait slowly appearing on the screen above him with people cheering about it. So the green lights are lazers and unlikely have any relation to the green lightnings in FF2 and this video. Still no idea how that "live performance" fits in the whole plot. Other guys found that the picture on a wall of the room with sleeping entities in FF2 is the same picture as in the unlisted video from FF2 description. The video ends with a photo of people living there, which suggests people were already living in the Backrooms before 1996 or at least were going to, so the decorations and furniture were brought there and aren't original parts of the Backrooms. Obviously something led to that whole section of Backrooms abandoned then. The hole in the wall is likely made by the car crash from the other side. But the hole in the floor remains a mistery to me. Maybe it's a result of "vertical expansion" mentioned in "Pitfalls", which is likely attempts to break into upper and lower levels.

what really blows my mind is that he makes this entire series so much more than just a found footage of something like "aaaa the person noclipped into the backrooms and now he's running away from an entity and then he dies". he tries to put much more interesting things in this series, and it's just really impressive. I'm not sure but 1:24 reminds me of the "I remember" video. This green stuff is probably the backrooms either teleporting a big chunk of our world into the backrooms or out, mirroring it and making it's pattern be present in the backrooms. We still don't know this but one theory I really like is that the backrooms knows the information of the real world but doesn't know how to put it together. This video is probably giving a lot of information but I can't make much out of it. The sound here 1:07 is the exact same as the end in ff2 where our protagonist makes contact with this green stuff. I'm really looking forward on knowing what this green stuff is.

Perhaps it's a type of life form, we cannot comprehend, anymore than it can comprehend us, hence the backrooms. It's trying to understand. Everything in that video is a clue eluding to something. I hope Kane never fully reveals what he is thinking this thing is and it's process. This is terrific, asking us to take this trip with him to figiure out what he already knows. It's brilliant what he's doing. One added note, the political strife between two governments diametrically opposed to each other, and with little tolerance or understanding could represent the backrooms situation and us. We see it for what it is on the surface, but it goes much deeper than that at which point comes in confusion as to understand each other.

Some analysis: this video shows us that the green crackly stuff from FF2 is definitely related to Ivan's research (including KV31). The sky split in a similar way to I Remember, perhaps hinting at the backrooms being a reflection of reality. It shows us that the experiments go back before Prototype (1982). If the radio message is found to be after 1972, it would also mean that Ivan was aware of and perhaps intentionally looking for the time travel weirdness. My guess: every time one of these experiments 'overloads', it reflects a bit of reality into the backrooms (and maybe a bit of the backrooms into reality). Perhaps the yellow wallpaper area is literally a reflection of the metallic ball from Prototype. Edit: when I wrote this, the video description said 1972 but Kane edited it out. It's hard to say what implications it has 🤔

@@andrew-mo1hi I didn’t mean it like that, I was just saying like this series is so good that it honestly deserves to be an actual television show, I would kill for a Kane-led Backrooms TV series, something official like that. What he does now is beyond incredible, imagine what could happen with a larger team and budget. I wasn’t specifically saying that Netflix should actually sign him to do an original show, but more so that I enjoy the series to much I would love to see it on a larger scale. I absolutely love the KZbin format though, it’s fantastic and honestly better than a TV show in many ways. It was more of just a thought. Sorry for writing an essay, it’s like 2 AM rn and my brain’s getting all woozy lol

The shot of the trees at 0:23 reminds me of a park pretty close to me. I went downtown to grab photos one summer night and I found a trio of trees exactly similar to those in the time stamp. The lighting and atmosphere really feel the same. Thanks for the great content as always

So this takes place in 1972, which is the earliest that we’ve gone in the timeline so far. The reason I find this important is we see a green flash at the end. Where else have we seen a green flash? In Found Footage #2. So the girl from that video got taken from the 90s-00s, all the way back to the *70s* because of this green energy. The fact that Peter was moved forwards in time in Instructional Video onto to be found later in Reunion supports the theory that the Backrooms doesn’t just mess with space, it messes with time. Super excited to see where this goes.

1972 is just when Ivan Beck signed off his approval for the project, it doesn't mean the shown footage is in 1972, it looks like it harks back to when it started, while simultaneously revealing its consequences

Another place we see not a green flash, but a green glow, is in the room on the other side of the pitfalls room, we still don't know what the guy that crossed the pitfalls saw in there. I certainly think that the green flash from this experiment in 72, what we saw on Found Footage #2 and the room on the other side of the pitfalls are connected in some way

99% of comments: “your amazing Kane, keep going.” All jokes aside though Kane you are amazing and here’s what I think is going on here. Async tries to expand their gate, but instead they cause an insane incident where the complex completely devours async. The sky at the start of the video is visibly fine, where as at the end it’s twisted, as if to indicate it was “distorted”. The only thing I’m unsure of here is why the approval date is in 79. It’s also important to note that the green light is very similar to the one we see in the backroom exploration #2

There's Backrooms lore (dwindling) and Kane's Backrooms (increasing in popularity). And it's simple: most Backrooms lore is a random grab bag of memes and pictures. It's eerie and mysterious but it doesn't have any innate humanity. No stakes. Humans love narrative, continuity, patterns, by givng Backrooms stuff a plot, and characters, he gets people invested.

In my opinion, this shows how the changes that happen in the backrooms (the green light) are now starting to actually affect our reality, our world that we live in, this very dimension. The backrooms, as in the ever-changing dimension that is the backrooms, are basically spilling over into our everyday lives. This was bound to happen sooner or later, as we could already see things from our real world spill over into the backrooms, so it was only a matter of time until the same thing happened the other way around. At 1:02, before we see the green light appear, you can see that the wall behind the board is not yellow wallpaper, it's not inside the backrooms. It's a room of the A-Sync facility and the green light is appearing, most likely changing it's layout, adding and/or removing things.... this is some scary sh*t. The fact that we can hear car horns honking at the end could also be a hint that even parts of our world outside of the A-Sync facility are already becoming affected, as well. Another thought of mine is that, since the cold-war conflict is being mentioned here, maybe the americans and the russians interacting/interfering with the backrooms around the same time was causing problems and rifts in the backrooms ... or maybe one of the two factions tried to weaponize them, which is an even scarier thought.

I think that the Universe collapsing into itself, and that's what we are seeing in these videos; the rifts in time, the fact that people can travel through time by going up or down in the backrooms seems all to lead to this conclusion, which is a really interesting story, and I wonder how it will end, will the last video be about the fall of multiple earths in the backrooms?
