fun fact: there is actually a parasite that is basically the hairworm called horsehair worm or hairworm, it goes in bugs and basically does what the hairworm in the backrooms does.

@@yeahmans i feel like the fear of the backrooms comes from the fact that 70% of the levels in here are from actual nightmares that either i or most people have had. most of us have been to the lvl "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE" just in a different version of it, we all have had the nightmare where we are running down a endless hallway. when ur in a dream the impossible geometry of the backrooms is literally there, its just u don't notice it. try to imagine a city rn, and really pay attention to how it looks. i guarantee u that if u actually pay attention its wonky af. the building mostlikely look bigger on the inside than the outside, the lighting will definitely look weird when u notice it, the cars will be weird sizes, everything will change scale from different angles, the sun is following an impossible path, the clouds and sky just looks off, people in the background will lack some facial features when ur not focused on them, and i bet i could name a bunch of other things, my point is that ur imaginary city would literally look like a backrooms level without u even realizing. u see, the errors in the backrooms like impossible geometry and weird entities are more akin to a dreamscape than a videogame. the errors and anomalies are things we don't realize are there when we are dreaming or even day dreaming, the backrooms mimics how a human brain imagines things eerily well. which makes it to where i can easily daydream about the backrooms, every error my brain makes while imagining the backrooms is literally apart of the actual backrooms. so not only is it easy it imagine urself being in the same scenario, but it feels way to close to home. tldr: the backrooms is eerie because its mostly real. the backrooms is the human imagination. and one of the most horrific things is the human imagination, which is why the fear of the unknown is scary in the 1st place. if its not ur cup of tea i understand but i feel like the fear of the unknown is overdone anyway. the only time the fear of the unknown is really a scary anymore is when a mad unstable dictator is threatening nuclear war because he can't take over one of the most poorest country in Europe.

I think the Paralies are just rewritten versions of the Neural Isopod, only OGs would truly remember that, and NO I am not making that up, it was a real Entity that got deleted from the Wikidot!

@@ItsMeQuill Neural Isopods are fleshy jungle centipedes that act similar to the Paralie as they can crawl through the ear, but they can enter through the nose, mouth, anuses, urethras, eat through eyes, flesh and even bone to get to the brain. Once the parasite is in the brain, it will latch on and control you, sending messages to the brain to go to their nest, all the while, being unaware of what's happening, juveniles are not as strong as they only control movement, so you will be aware of what is happening and terrified too. Once the host is at the nest, they will become a living nursery to grow the babies. (they grow up so fast!) Drinking Almond Water won't work to deter these things, as the parasite LOVES Almond Water and will drink it, making the parasite stronger, you need to surgically remove the Neural Isopod from the brain, and doing that might lead to accidental lobotomy. We got one of the surviving patients here, I'm glad he's alive, but he hasn't been the same. (The patient) I wAnNa Go To ThE fAiR!
