Hi - The videos are really useful for beginners. I have couple of questions. 1) Will all the video lights have the spot light option or only a specific video lights have? How to identify the same. 2) In this video its suggested for 2000L, however I am looking at a light which is 6000-8000L is it better to go with higher light or just stick to 2000L?
@backscatteruw28 күн бұрын
Each light will have different functions and not all lights have a spot mode. Brighter is pretty much always better, and a 6000-8000 lumen light will a good option. If you have any questions on the light you are looking to pickup, give us a call at 831-645-1082 or email us at sales@backscatter.com.

Hello, I have a question, after setting the camera on the boat when you go down, do you should put macro mode or just let "A" mode?
@backscatteruw4 ай бұрын
Hi, for shooting macro images with a video light, we recommend using microscope mode or P depending on what type of subject you are shooting. Here is a link to our PDF for the settings guide as a quick reference as well. (www.backscatter.com/images/article/content/olympus-tg-6/Olympus_TG-6_Settings_Guide_Photo_Light.pdf)

I would like to do a video and photo package with the TG-6, with a double handle tray, the Olympus housing, lighting arms, floats, two Backscatter SOLA 3600+ lights, an M52 Air lens, and carrying case. Please let me know what this type of setup would cost. Thank you!

I cant find this video light and mount on your website. I have the tg5 and am wanting to purchase this lighting setup

The mount looks like a ball cold shoe and a ball clamp to the light.

Hello! Thanks for these really useful information.👍👍 May I ask why should I set the aperture at middle value rather than keep it maximum size (minimal value) to increase the shutter speed?
@backscatteruw2 жыл бұрын
Setting the aperture to the middle value actually makes the shutter speed a little slower than when set to the minimal value. The reason we do it is for more depth of field in our image.

Do your recommended setting still apply if using your Air Lens?
@backscatteruw4 жыл бұрын
Yes, in fact nothing here really changes other than the fact that you can't get quite as close with the Air Lens.

Sounds like you should check out Part 1 as well. That will tell you everything you need to know about macro with a strobe, so depending on what you want to use for lighting you are fully covered either way.

Also, one more quick question- I have a Hydra 5000S+ video light. Is there any reason (besides using up battery power) to take photos with the light set to less than 5000 lumens? Would that be too bright for macro or is more light ALWAYS better? If I use the light at full strength, what ISO would you recommend? Thank you!

Do you have any advice for shooting photos on the TG6 with 2 strobes (Inon Z240) and a constant video light (Kraken Hydra 5000S+)? I want to keep my video light on as a dive light and thought maybe it would also help fill in shadows in the images depending on how I position it.
@PaxAuTelamanus3 жыл бұрын
You can have both on your rig for dif shots through out the dive, but it's difficult to use both a video light and strobes on the same picture.

So even shoot the Macro wiht video light, we still use middle aperture value and -0.3 exposure comp? This is different with part 1 setting.
@backscatteruw5 жыл бұрын
Yep. Part 1 is for shooting with a strobe. A video light is going to be completely different.
