I must say red bull totally drop the ball big time. The first fact of matter is on lap 42, Lewis pit on old mediums (just 3 laps old mediums) which ended up younger than max's mediums. Secondly, mediums for both max and Lewis start to drop off a lot quicker than their soft tyre stint(22 laps into soft tyre stint, 10 laps after their first pit stop which is brand new mediums). Max have brand new soft at the ready and had to pit on next lap. Otherwise, max screwed and lost the win. Hungary 2019 is the exact same thing where the hard tyres start to drop off a lot quicker than we expected. Haydon didn't think about the Hungary 2019 tbh

Then max would have ended up behind Bottas. Bottas would have slowed Max down allowing Lewis to attack at Max. Max has been strategically played out by Mercedes. Max misses Perez.

Half a lap would have been enough like Bottas did with Lewis. Besides that Max only had a set of softs left. With that he wouldn’t have enough pace for the remaining laps. Just well done from mercedes strategically.

Honestly if Max pits, Lewis drives away. Red Bull had a lose-lose situation. There was no correct thing to do because of Hamilton’s ability to extract pace in critical moments especially over one lap.
