Fire and Gasoline is a proper fkn rock album! So overlooked, that one! Some great co-writing and guest appearances on it too! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in rock music in general.

Don't ever change, Steve. The reason people like you so much is because you've remained humble, down-to-earth and haven't forgotten your roots.

He is spot on about the poser seen in Los Angeles. I had just moved to Los Angeles from San Francisco and I hated it. All of the bands all basically sounded and looked the some. Some were good MOST just sucked. It was a clique thing that I hated and I was stuck here. IT SUCKED

Dude I agree! This was a good period for rock albums. The Cult’s Sonic Temple. They were on a couple of songs on this album. Andy Taylor’s Thunder he played guitar on. Iggy Pop’s Brick By Brick he played on too. Good stuff!!!👍🏻

So, I like very much his singing in “Fire & Gasoline”. Yes, a biker pose, but a great pose, with great riffs, and great guitar solos. Fantastic melodies and power! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I remember 'Fire & Gasoline' being advertised in Guitar Magazine when I was 13. I hadn't heard the Sex Pistols at that point.

Fire & Gasoline should have been huge. Album was brilliant the whole way through, fit in perfectly with the hard rock sound of the time like Aerosmith & Guns N Roses and the guy had loads of credibility. I was working at a record store when it came out and MCA's support was non-existent just like they were to all their hard rock & metal acts.

He may not like the song lol, but I loved "Drugs Suck", as they've ruined many lives and families, so nothing wrong with the song and preaching from experience is not really that bad if it changes even one persons life for the better. My favorite song off the Fire and Gasoline album is "God In Louisiana" as it just frickin' ROCKS !!!

The move from punk to biker rock was ahead of its time on Jonesey's part, or maybe right on time, sort of like Royal Trux.

I actually sang some Sex Pistol songs at the Whiskey A Go Go for a sound check one afternoon on my honeymoon in the early 90's because I know all their songs. Such an honor to be on that stage. The sound guy was so sweet. There was so much gum on the sidewalk. Imagine the DNA history there. 😳

Steve is so straight up, no bull shit. After all these years he really hasn't changed. Unfortunately Mr Rotten has tried so hard to intellectualise the Pistols and appease the ones he hated and to add further insult became a Trump supporter WTF.
