I'm super impressed with this Bronco 2. Everybody knows the fj's a beast but I had no idea you could squeeze that much out of a Bronco 2. Every time I think about the Bronco 2 I remember a contest they ran on a Snickers bar when I was a kid where you could win a Bronco 2. I would say that a Cherokee XJ has really met its match with a Bronco 2.

I like the idea of a electronic disconnecting and reconnecting sway bar because if you're going to be challenged with clearance you can always reconnect your sway bar and you're not going to compress your springs as much- on a diagonal, anyway.

That little Bronco's front twin traction beam suspension is what killed alot of them and the people inside them... made them roll over on the slightest turns... I had pit my 89 B2 on two wheels plenty if times before I went with wider tires and wheels to make it more stable. I still have that lil B2 and it is part goat... it goes anywhere lol... awesome video. 2 thumbs up!

This made me really miss my B2, it sounded just like this one with the power steering pump and the v6 chugging along. Mine was a little deeper because of the muffler I had on it but damn that truck was bulletproof, except for the TFI module... I always carried a spare in the back. lol I parked it in 2013 with 547K miles on the odometer and started preparing it for a 5.0 swap. It sat for 8 years and I'm planning to bring it home this weekend.

Not hating on your FJ by any stretch but that B2 was pretty cool. Usually these get SAS'd and V8 swapped. But from what I can tell, this one still has the original V6, manual trans and TTB setup. I wonder what he does for axles and U-joints with tires that size? Looked like a fun day out for both. Nicely done.

@sharpmotorsports5910
@sharpmotorsports5910 3 жыл бұрын
The axles are out of a 1st gen Explorer ('91-'94) and are pretty much stock aside from the gears, lockers, and Warn hubs. I haven't had a single issue with the rear 8.8" (31 spline); they are stout axles. The Dana 35 TTB is a bolt-in for Bronco IIs and I never had any issues with it before the doubler when I was on 35" tires. Since the doubler and 37" tires, I have had a couple U-joints eject their caps. I have since modified the shafts to accept full-circle clips and run Spicer 5-760x joints and have not had any problems again so far. That said, I only have 115 HP (the engine is completely gutless which is why you hear me stall it so much despite having a 125:1 crawl ratio) and I am a pretty conservative driver.
