I saw her in Kelang Malaysia when I was on Wes Pac while in the Navy. Then she played at the Beau Rivage casino in Mississippi were I was working and I escorted her from her room down to her show, was able to tell her how much I loved her music and how much it meant to us to see her overseas on Pac so far from home. She liked hearing that.

I am extremely excited that Joan Jett was finally inducted. It was the perfect time I believe for JJ for who she is and become as a female muscian, still touring constantly, and all that gives back to the world.

I remember watching The Runaways and was kind of young to appreciate what was happening there, but in early '82 when I received I Love Rock n' Roll as a gift, I was not only amazed, but I was mesmerized too! I finally got to see Joan in 1991 while in the military and she put on a great show. I'm glad she too was finally inducted. MAYBE, the "Hall" has been listening to the fans after all. I doubt it but it's still hopeful!

I don't understand why there are some people that are so down and negative about Joan Jett getting inducted at the R&R Hall of Fame. Not everything in life is about commercial success, you know? Commercial success doesn't necessarily equal to quality art. What Joan Jett has done ever since The Runaways has been quality rock and roll music. She's a pioneer because thanks to her, Sandy West (The Runaways drummer) and Kim Fowley, the first teenage all-girl rock n roll band was founded and that made history. Then, in her early twenties, she co-founded her own record company, making her one of the very first female artists to achieve that and especially at such a young age. It's true a good deal of her catalogue is based on songs originally performed by other artists and so what? She has a lot of talent. She's a great guitar player, has a great voice, has great stage presence and most importantly even if she doesn't write some of her songs she gives her own special twist to them, making them her own. Oh, and she has written songs for other artists. An example? House of Fire performed by Alice Cooper. That one was co-written by Joan. She deserved to be inducted and it was about time. She's a pioneer, a very talented rock and roller, helped paving the way for other female artists to perform rock and roll music. She rocks!!

Edwin Salas Hernandez she’s in the rock hall of fame, but Iron Maiden, Lita Ford , and Judas Priest are not. She rank higher than Eddie Van Halen in Rollinstone magazine for guitarist. She plays rhythm guitar ( not a very good) . Her hit radio songs are cover songs, even light of day was written by Bruce Springsteen.it was popular because of Michael J Fox. What the * uck is so great about her ??? NOTHING!

Francis C It was Joan who turned these songs the NOBODY gave a shit about, into kick ass ANTHUMS! Kids in the U.S. back in 1980-1981 didn't know Garry Glitter and the Arrows. It was Joan that took those songs and 'introduced' them to a new generation. The originals in my piont of view where not great, but Joan rocked the hell out of em.So I say Thank You Joan for making us open our eyes and our ears to the things that came before. A fraud? I don't think so!! The Queen of Rock & Roll? INDEED!!!!
