I absolutely agree with Waltz about Christmas. Although not every country and house has lost the value of Christmas, most unfortunately have. I think if he saw that there were still people who could celebrate in a way that was acceptable to him (and me), his opinion would change. Btw I watched Big eyes again today, it was brilliant!

Agree with Waltz, REALLY don't like Christmas anymore just because of what it's become. Sure the family time is great but commercialism... sheesh..

Christoph Waltz is a great actor - whether or not he is a “good” or “kind” person is irrelevant. If that’s what matters to you then simply don’t watch the films he’s in.

He is celebrating Christmas wrong. It's not about the gifts but rather about being with those you love. About eating, drinking, listening to music and enjoying pretty decorations. All of which you have normally but Christmas is the excuse to put it all together an enjoy. I love Christmas and no it's not a gift thing.

Hate Christmas? Yes if your idea of Christmas is presents,presents presents, I agree. We celebrate with good food and drink lights candles and music. It doesn't get much better : )
@kxmode10 жыл бұрын
There's another reason for hating Christmas. 1. No servant of God in the Bible ever celebrated their birth. You will not find one mention of it. 2. Jesus said to remember his death. He never mentioned anything about remembering his birth day.

Oh come on, Muslims celebrate Muhammad's birthday a whole month, because they simply don't know which day was it. And it is not "Ramadan" before anyone comments on it, but that month called month of "Mavlud."
@khaymari9 жыл бұрын
Christoph is just saying it's too commercialized
@kxmode9 жыл бұрын
beka najm Muhammad never claimed to be the Son of God. Jesus did, and there was ample scriptural evidence to support his claim. Look at the life of Jesus compared with the life of Mohammad. What did Jesus do? What did Mohammad do? The pattern of their lives will tell which was truly a prophet sent by God.
@khaymari9 жыл бұрын
kxmode Well, whatever you say buddy. I thought you were commenting on celebration of holidays, not whose the real deal or not.
@kxmode9 жыл бұрын
beka najm You brought up Muhammad and you suggested that he was equal in scope to Jesus. You then say Muslims celebrate his birth day for an entire month. However in the Bible never once does it mentions any prophets of God - from Abraham, Noah, Moses, to Isaiah, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, to Jesus - celebrating their birth day, instructing anyone to celebrate birth days, or even celebrating the birth day of anyone. The custom was viewed by Jews as a pagan for centuries before Jesus day. I said before because apparently during Jesus day some people - like wicked king Herod - celebrated birth days. It is fitting then that King Herod's birthday was recorded at Mark 6:21. There's an interesting account of what happened at his birth day party. If you get a chance read Mark 6:21-29. I won't spoil it with details. If you want to know what happened you'll have to read it. Know that this mention of birth day and one other with Pharaoh during Joseph's day are literally the only two mentions of birthdays; and *neither* were celebrated by worshippers of God. This kind of tells you how Almighty God views the celebrating of anyone's birth... not even his own son: Jesus.

With all fairness I heard that Tarantino commissioned the star...although I'm sure CW's fans pitched in to pay for it as well. It's a shame, though, that he can't see Christmas for the true spirit of the holiday--it's not all about buying presents but spending time with and appreciating your loved ones. Lots of holidays have also become very commercialized--Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc. Very unusual for a German/Austrian to have such a distaste for a holiday where they invented so many of its traditions. I still love him and his performances.

Pamela Sosnowski Doesn't change the fact that Chris is an arrogant arsehole. Every single interview shows him to be just that, along with incredibly pompous and a man who likes to wax intellectual. He's not nice nor pleasant - he's gotten too big for his boots in my opinion.
@Thatsn95girl10 жыл бұрын
Lemon Drops I've watched many of Christoph interviews and I don't see the asshole your talking about. Pompous, not at all. He's verying charming and seems quite pleasant carries himself confidently and also he can be very humble at times. He's had a long career but under appreciated before Quentin cast him in Inglorious Bastards. But this is also my opinion.
@PositivelyPam10 жыл бұрын
That1ne Lemon Drops Agreed; there was a big publicity push for Big Eyes so he's been everywhere the past few weeks, and during a couple of interviews he appeared to get a little frustrated because every interviewer was asking him about James Bond. At this point he knows very little about his character and wasn't making the rounds to promote Spectre, but Big Eyes. I think his intelligence and way of explaining things sometimes goes over the interviewer's head. Watch any of his interviews with Jimmy Kimmel...I don't see any arrogance at all and he usually participates in a comedy sketch.
