Seems a little silly but I actually get really happy when Brian takes his shirt off. I would show my daughter his pics of him with his shirt off and point at it and say "See! He also had the same heart condition you did. He isn't ashamed to show his scars. He is able to do what he loves regardless of obstacles". She used to be timid about her surgical scars but over the years she is proud of them. She also loves music like he does. So I get happy whenever I see them because he was a good example for her growing up. I would dedicate this song her.

CtrlG/Editor Actually they NEVER broke and have said that in MANY interviews. They took a much need 3 year break after 8-9 years on the road between 2002-2005 and then Kevin left between 06-12 to start a family. The other boys continued and did two albums and three tours during Kevin's absence.

This is why BSB the best boy band of all time. Of course, they were the first boys-band of this type and they still exist and still together. The group is of my age and it saw a lot of copy cats appearing and disappearing from time to time. I don't know how is it abroad, but in my country all the groups like that are often called BSB-like. I think they made this standard and will carry it until the end, cause the music outside BSB changed a lot.

My mother died two years ago from brain cancer. My mom was my only parent and best friend. My mother and I love y'all. We spent a many of hours making a scrap book of yall from magazines. This song has helped me to not to give up. The black sea of depression and sadness still tries to drown me, but I'm getting little closer to the surface but still not close enough to say I'm okay. Because now the music is all around hip-hop and synthetic, and they represent the style they started with and never changed. So, children of 90's and earlier still appreciate this, but the youngsters will rather consider it as "old men music". By the way, Britney Spears is trying to follow the trends and changed her style cardinally, but it doesn't help her much. Karan Jack My daughter got me hooked on them in 1997 when she begged me to take her to their concert in Louisville, Ky. It was an early birthday present for her and she had recorded Everybody off the radio onto a cassette for us to listen to in the car on our 8 hour round trip. We must’ve listened to that tape a hundred times. Our seats were the highest in the arena, but when BSB was performing, it didn’t matter. When they came out at the end to sing Everybody, it was amazing, and I’ve loved them ever since. Not even N’Sync, New Kids on the Block, or Boys 2 Men can compete.

A couple of years ago I found my old Backstreet Boys cds and I listened to them fondly. Now that I am 29 and a bit more eclectic I finally got myself to search for you again. Right now specifically I am going through a hard time in my life, with major changes and life decisions and I stumbled upon this song and this video in the morning after a night I couldn't sleep out of pure anxiety. I didn't pay much attention to the music and lyrics when I only checked one of their most popular songs, thinking they're just the same as NSYNC, but right now going through their songs I realize their music is much more heartfelt and wholesome, singing bout true love rather than typical boybands ( like NSYNC ) and pop acts - and I don't mean just this song, but their singles from tge 90's too. So this is really what i wanted all my life, a band that i loved as teen and now reunited to sing more mature songs. I mean i miss the days when bands like them and five or n'sync were at the radio all the time. When i tried to listen today's famous bands like One Direction i was dissapointed, Words are without any meaning. With their return I can have real men not kids singing, with lyrics that have sense. They admitted that Brian and AJ are shirtless because of Brian's scar and AJ's tatoo on the TV show in December, 2013. They said these are the reason. That's so deep and means a lot. I also remember how Brian hated his scar from his heart surgery, and he used to try to hide it. So when this music video came out I was surprised and was so proud of him. In the interview at that time, he said "I've never once shown my scar, so that's kinda like show people what I made of." It was so touching. And after that, especially now, he sometimes takes his shirt off and shows it to us. I love his mind change and again, I'm so proud of him as one of the backstreet fans.

+baggos theoharis vocal tension dysphonia. It's a condition where the muscles wrap around the vocal chord and put stress on it producing not a very pleasant sound. Therefore he can't control his voice like he used to. It's most likely from years and years of using it improperly and being on the road touring. Although he is improving so much and is getting the help he needs:)

The Dysphonia is caused by neurological constraint as well -Stress and so on. Furthermore, Brian had the swine flu some years ago, which could've definitely started the whole thing also.
