This was rad, great saves and awesome carnage!! If you use dilectric greese on all of the seals, bushings and electric connections you can lightly spray down a cold motor safely to clean it off (always cover vital parts) but it's still important to blow dry (a leaf blower alone does big things) when done. The majority of the problems come from non water proof wire shorts and extreme temperature changes warping heads. Also, personaly I never trust AN fittings without teflon tape or thread glue If they keep letting go you should give it a go.

i just spray soap and rinse with the hose on my car all the time they love it, still has the airbox but the filter is the only real thing id be worried about if it was out

Teflon tape should NEVER be used on AN fittings. The seal is made on the face, not the threads. If an AN fitting is leaking there is a defection on one of the faces and it should be replaced

Vertic I should probably explain as it is unorthodox to use thread tape on AN fittings. I would never suggest using Teflon on the sealing part or deflection, only on the last 6-7 threads and unlike house plumbing only use 2-4 wraps. Not all AN fittings do great in extensive heat cycles with contracting / expanding themselves loose, even more so if they've been tightened and loosened several times already* that's just the nature of the beast but a little Teflon glue or tape does stop the problem before a failure can occur, I'll never go without it. I specify by saying "personally" suggestivly in food for thought, it's not an option for everyone but it will be perfectly evident if it won't work. If you're having leaky fittings of any kind they should be replaced but if you can't risk it at all take precautions to prevent it. I've never had a leaking AN fitting with conservative use of Teflon tape or glue ever (personally speaking).

Should just get rid of that DIY AN fitting. I had the same problem and once I upgraded to a high pressure line with a clamped on fitting it was golden. Only down side is the fittings have to be facing the correct way once they are clamped because you cannot rotate them.

There is a company called "Royal Brass and Hose" that will make any line with any fittings with just about any line material you need. Swivels are also available for any line below 150psi last time I checked. But be warned, none of their stuff is cheap. Had a whole assorted batch of lines made back in SR days (early 2000's) and it was like $450 for the 8 lines that I had done. They never leaked or failed though..

Personally, I'd retire the 240 as a fulltime driftcar. Just redo it properly and use it as a show car, then have the 350Z as a driftcar you don't give a damn about and when the S15 is done, use that for competitions.

That behind the drivers head side cam view is insane. Gives the viewer full perspective of where your looking and how your trying to position the car on track. you should use that angle on all your daytime shots and hopefully the track lighting helps night time shots. Night vision would be a cool addition to the night drift elements. Also those backies were fucking dope. Mad footage making the drift damage well and truly worthy Mad props Adam!!!
