I don’t think I explained that engine part correctly, it’s the cam/cam follower for the throttle. But you guys get the gist of it. It’s needed to work correctly 😅

I am a fan your jon boat hacks, it's some solid problem-solving ... and Rebel is a cool addition. Keep producing videos and I'll keep viewing.

I have a boxer, who is my little running buddy. He too is constantly wanting to play with his ball and if I am not paying attention to him, he will roll it under stuff like the tool box etc in the ole garage, cracks me up to see your pup doing the same thing. Thanks for taking the time to share this video with us and I hope yall have a blessed weekend. Dale

Nice job. Glad the motor was an easy fix. Looks like Rebel is settling in to her new home.

I’ve been binge watching your videos & thoroughly enjoying each one. You have to have the most informative content & step by step projects. I am all of the above on my old 7.5 78 2 stroke motor & 86 Cajun Special 14’ boat & trailer . I’ve got so much to do to mine . Each video of yours is giving me much needed ideas & good information. I appreciate each video. Again thanks, great work & video content! 🎣 from Louisiana 🙏

I’m currently binge watching your videos. Right now I’m watching your Alumahawk Paint where you made your own color of tan mixing black & Jon boat green . I love that color! I’m working on my own Jon Boat now , just finished my transom rebuild (almost) using your video techniques . Of course I will be redoing my trailer ( have most all the parts, installed jack , new 2” hitch & have parts including new lights, runners, carpet & all the above. I have a 1986 Cajun Special 14/36 & a 1978 2 stroke 9.8 Mercury motor. Anyway, I have been sharing your KZbin channel @backwaterboatrehab on my Facebook threads that I follow. Yours is the most informative step by step of any other Jon Boat Channel on KZbin in my opinion! Thanks for sharing all your content! Would love to get one of your BWBR stickers to put on back of my Louisiana made boat when it’s completed. Thanks Dude ! Bill Buck in Louisiana 🇺🇸🎣

I solid front trailer bow stop is must AND the correct length. The one I have was too short and jacked up and put a really nice hole in the boat, still struggling with the leak but the bow stop has been replaced! Glad you're back at this, learn alot from you and loving the new format!

Good looking boat! I like the way the anchor poles work. I plan on putting one on the boat I’m building in north MS. Thanks for the videos!

Short section of galvanized pipe bolted to your rubrail wherever you want it and a 10 foot section of 5/8 inch rebar with a 90 degree bend 6 inches from one end for your soft-bottom anchor.

Great video once again. I learn so much from your videos. Im from West TN also and have a 1236 alumacraft that I've been redoing. is it ok if I put a BWBR decal on the back of it?

Not related to this video at all, but did you have any trouble with that power pole being mounted straight to the transom on your g3?

My 40 horse johnson was running bad, no power, wouldn't rev up. My new gas tank with vented cap was the problem. The sun was hitting the tank, new vented caps don't really vent, my tank pressurized from the heat and was flooding my engine. I loosened the cap and was able to clear the engine out almost instantly and right back to 32mph on plane.

what is the name of that resin you put on the rivets and where do you get it ?

When you first state the engine seems like it was bogging down, I would have told you to check the mechanical timing advance. That EMT coupling that you put on for the pole may end up breaking on you because that's only cast aluminum. I hope it works for you. "Old Rebel" looks like he'd make a fantastic hunting dog

For you 8 ft jon built video you made last year, will it work on a river. I want to get one to row on, add some lights and ad a mp3 audio system for exercise and fish off it on occasion but mainly row before sun up. I would ask that on your previous video but comments were turned off.
@backwaterboatrehab6 ай бұрын
I’m sure it’ll be fine as long as it doesn’t have a whole lot of current. I’d try to get one 36” across the bottom if you can.

I dont see trailers on Facebook market place, with 36 foots and I'm lucky enough I can back my 24 foot travel trailer which I guess I need more practice backing up. I was thinking if I got a 10 foot I could it in my pickup bed. But i do see your point. I probably should get a 30 something for wooden or aluminum dory or whaler. I wanna row the black warrior river here in Alabama since I'm not not ocean rowing.

Great vid! I've followed this build and you did everything I was thinking of with pretty much exactly what I have! Thanks for the motivation and sharing what works and what you'd change. btw: I have that same low end 30" trolling motor. I'm hacking together a remote steering and throttle I found here: kzbin.infoG8kLzCS9lwY?si=21re2OdXNe6S7K9E kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6echJprbdl-qacsi=OxIvf64_pt5SpJR1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4bHeql3rruCbLMsi=nkCmC4JaQGWmy7zb Got it all working and just gotta put it together. Adds about a hundred dollars, but will be well worth it and WAAY easier than you'd think. Lets you lower the motor further and makes it WAAAY easier reaching for the tiller. Thanks again!!
