Boy, that road will make all the difference, eh? I love every aspect of the cabin. My husband and I built our log home 18 yrs ago and we love it! Funny thing though, the older I get, the more of a desire I have to scale down and be off grid. It seems most people want things easier as they age and I seem to be going the other way! Your cabin is amazing and I always look forward to your vids. God Bless!

I'm the same way and the wheels are in motion to simplify. I'm putting my homestead on the market this week and can't wait to live life between my 2 cabins. I still have a long ways to go with the road. I'm barely 1/3rd of the way with the stone but I'll get there. All the best to you Pammie. God Bless.

The cabin is just amazing! From a woodworker, the level of craftsmanship you've put into it is awsome ! Just simply a great job. I hope you do a video on the solar install, I would like to see how to do it.I know it's hunting season now but do you think you will do any more fishing videos? I've been watching your channel for a while now, (ever since I seen Frankie bring you a beer!) and I have to say that from the content to the quality, your channel is one of the best on you tube. Keep them coming! And once again, great job on the cabin!

The place looks great JC. You really have done a great job. It's so obvious to see the level of care and pride that went into each detail. In my humble opinion those are the qualities that are missing in many of today's families. Everyone's so damn busy to truly appreciate the details in life that the really good stuff gets missed. Great job brother and thank you for sharing.

😊 you really like that rocking chair don't you.. I suspect it must be really comfortable... I mean if somebody mentions something four times.. they got to really love it.. Hope you don't mind me picking on you. Makes me really happy.. you sharing the things you've done and the way you live... And your childhood dream I'm doing it.. All these things have been in the back of my mind for a long time... Thanks to you, I think it's time to make it reality.. I think it makes a house a HOME..

.... continuation from below ... to leave a SUV there so I did not have to rent a vehicle each time. Instead I had a heart attack and have been in the hospital waiting for bypass surgery. The reason for the wait was hurricane Harvey. Your videos have gotten me thru so far and have given many ideas I would like to implement. I will not get to go to my cabin this year, but thru your videos I have had the opportunity to visit yours, and spend time with a great guy. Thank you for adding so much enjoyment to this difficult time. God bless and all the best.

Sorry to hear of your heart attack Larry but happy to see you're still here to talk about it. Life throws us some crap and I'm suffering medical setbacks too and my project has come to a screeching halt. The future is uncertain for all of us. We do what we can, the best we can. I wish you the best.

Thanks for the new video. The cabin is looking great and you did a fine job on the brick. I bet you're already loving the new road. You're my favorite channel. Keep the video's coming. Love em! God bless you.

Thank you my friend. Happy to hear I'm your favorite channel. Still got a LONG way to go on the road project but with the stone at 250 bucks per load, the project will sit dormant for a while. The tractor and tools are home, winter's coming and it's time to enjoy the place. More dutch oven cooking coming up :-))~ Thanks for commenting.

Always great to visit the cabin JC!!! Love the new road and I know you will too!! Always love touring the interior!! Can't wait to see the new location come to life for your business!! Sure wish I could get up to hang out with you but with our 62 acre farm / homestead, wife and 5 kids - there's always something pulling me this way and that!!

I hear ya buddy. I'm busy enough with no wife or kids. Just made it out hunting for the first time and the season's been open 3 weeks. I still have over 2/3rds of the road to do but it'll have to wait. That stone is expensive :-o

My wife and I cancelled the cable TV almost two years ago and we don't miss it. But I must tell you, and I am certain that I speak for most everyone who has subscribed to your channel, that I look forward to your videos as most people look forward to their weekly sitcoms. Every single video is done with such professionalism. Each episode is entertaining, informative and most of all, inspiring. On a side note - I saw the plastic water container on the counter and in your ice box. Have you ever used a Berkey water filter. We use it at our cabin to purify the well water and remove the sulfur odor as well as at home to remove the chlorine et al. It was well worth the investment. Take care my friend - I'm opening the last of my Uncle Jim's spice packets this weekend - I'll have to get some more.

Yes I have heard of that filter and it's on my wish list as well as a few other things. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoy my channel and look forward to my productions. I wish they didn't take so dang long to edit because I'd pump out more of them. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate that.

nice to know there's still a few people who can see the value in hand made work and old but refurbished things like that little axe. have you thought about making a coffee cup hanger and other things from antlers? I think that'd be a great touch. but it's your cabin and your decision, of course. thanks for sharing your cabin with us, you've got a great like palace. cheers now

I haven't made anything from antlers but I'm always making stuff from tree branches. I have totes full of crooked branches for future projects. I have more ideas than I do time. Cheers :-)
