Looks almost identical to the one I installed on my RK37. I ended up mounting mine on the dash, since it's inline with the hood. Another thing I did, that you may look into, is I brought the tractor back from the farm, and took it down to the local shop that does window tinting. I had them install the better ceramic tint that reflects the heat, same tint I had them install on my new truck. On the tractor I had them install 35% on the sides and rear, and went with a 0% on the windshield so there is still heat reflection. As you know, these turn into ovens in the summer, and it has really helped.

I thought about tinting the windows but didn't want to sacrifice visibility at night due to my current use. Lots of snow plowing in the dark during winter months as well as driving in the woods. I'll check into the ceramic tint. Didn't know that existed.

I commented on this before, but heck, i'll comment again! I think the backup camera is a great idea, and this time of year a cab tractor with a/c is the way to go!

G’morn’n Chris. So how well does it work in Full Sunlight conditions? The unit I installed in the cab of our Cat CTL works well in overcast or shaded scenarios, but is pretty ineffective in sunlight. I’m curious if a better quality monitor would have better resolution or if there’s just too much light in my cab🤔 As for having only two camera inputs, would it be possible to splice a switch into the output harnesses of two additional cameras. Thereby allowing you to select between a front hitch and rear hitch dedicated cameras and leaving your current rear facing camera as your primary. Nice install Chris👍🏼 Bless’ns to ya, Tedd

This one does pretty good in full sunlight. It dies bleed out just a bit but I think any camera is going to do that. Still very useful in full sun. As far as adding multiple cameras. I really dont know? This system is set up for 2 but you may have a difficult time getting more than that. Could always just run 2 systems. Thanks for the support!

chris thank you for the video, one of the most challenging part for me to drive my tractor is that i frequently have to turn my head to look in the rear. i want to think that with the most advanced camera's you still have to turn your head sometimes, how much procent less do you have to turn to look in the back, now that you have a rear camera?

Nice install. How about mounting a full width bracket along the back at the top that you can add a light bar too and your camera? I am sorry to hear you hate your job. That makes for a not so happy life Chris. Keep the faith.

Outside. Just wipe it off. I had no issues last winter with mine.

Hi Chris!!😀😀 I've always wanted to put a back camera on my tree harvester. But it seems like all the monitors are kinda small. You did a really nice job installing it. It should be really nice for when you are brush hogging. I've always wondered if you did some buffing on the hood if the color would come back out? Take care my friend!!😀😀

My guess is it would. I just dont care enough about the hood being faded to spend the time to do it. They knocked off a bunch of money for that when I bought it and that was more important to me. Plus. The tractor sits outside as I have no place to put it under a roof so I would just fade out again. Yes, 7" monitor is kinda small. Take care Al

Rather then pull headliner could you have lifted the top of your cab, my LS cab has a hinge system in the back that allows you to remove a couple of bolts and lift top and it has a prop rod.
