Subscribing bc you’re in my area I believe and I like to see what ppl in my area/zone are growing as I’m a new gardener. I’m in the ranch Cucamonga area.

Would removing the flowers from the younger mango trees prevent the growth issues? Like when your lettuce bolts aka goes to seed or your herbs even
@backyardorcharddreams7 ай бұрын
What I've heard is if you remove the flowers, the tree will try to produce more. What's recommended is let it fruit but remove them once they get to be around nickel to downsize.

I only plant seedling mango trees, I gave up on planting grafted mango trees after killing a bunch of them. My seedlings grow like weeds in southern California.

That definitely seems like the way to go. Thx for sharing.

I noticed your irrigation lines aren’t buried or covered by mulch. Do you notice if the sun damages them at all or degrade the material? Thanks!

I rarely use them except when I travel for an extended time, but I don't notice any degradation.
