Was pulling elm trees out with a little 2-4 ton recently - i wish i had a ripper instead of the bucket...it really is the smart way to get this done..your custom ripper is pretty impressive!

You are being very gentle with your tiltrotator. They hold up a lot of beating. I usually take it off only when handling big heavy pieces of rock or using a hydraulic hammer.

Have you see the flat broom attachment it’s about the size what your using there it’s great for road. Works ect check them out they use them in Europe a lot

I agree with working with home owners!! Best part is they see there yard absolutely destroyed, they leave . They come back sometime later and it's all done and better than they expected. Permanent customer!!!

It's to bad that rake attachment doesn't have a thumb grabber to shake most of the soil out. Still a wicked attachment.

Hey Tom, I own a small construction company and would love to get more into excavation. But I built a ripper for my cat 305c cr. I pulled 35 large stumps with it last Saturday and it was awesome! Would have taken twice as long with a bucket.

@@DirtNinja It's hearing protection, but it has noise cancelling, bluethooth for phone calls and spotify. You can run a compactor and speak on the phone with somebody and they can hear you perfectly fine. I prefer a ripper or rake doing stumps, only thing I see missing is a thumb.

Do you think that grading beam would work well with hot mix asphalt? Having the Engcon, you can unload buckets from a truck and drop piles, then put on the beam and spread them all out evenly while rolling at the same time.

Nice job, but wouldn't a stump grinder have been a lot less invasive than digging holes to bury stumps and all that grading?
@briangardiner10155 жыл бұрын
Stump grinding would have been more expensive.

Yes but they wanted everything cleaned up, not just the stumps

Tiltrotators aren’t as fragile as most think, I use mine to rip up concrete foundations frequently

Are you pleased with 316f
@12ozbuds5 жыл бұрын
Now you have to go back with a bucket or rake and backfill. With a bucket and a thumb you can do it all in one pass. Also with a bucket you can dig on the front and back sides of a large stump. The thumb will also act like a rake and you can throw your stumps. Now with abucket and thumb you don't have to carry all the extra attachments.
@DirtNinja5 жыл бұрын
All true but it would have taken me twice as long probably with just a bucket and thumb. Just grading everything with a 10ft grade beam compared to a 3ft buckets is a massive time difference.
@sonnywilkins15584 жыл бұрын
I was wondering did you check any other tilt rotators or reason you went with Engcon and how do they do i just ordered a 310 and we do residential light Comecial grading
@briangardiner10155 жыл бұрын
Was that a Millenial Farmer shirt? I think what scares a lot of people with a tilt-rotator is the price. What they don't realize is it actually lets you finish jobs quicker cus you don't have to move the machine.
@DirtNinja5 жыл бұрын
No its my company's shirt. And yes exactly, lets you do more with one machine very efficiently.

sad thing is... for the owner at least, if maintenance isn't kept up in that area, underbrush will grow back with a vengeance. It doesn't take long. Ripping out a lot of the roots helps, but one or two seasons and it will be right back. Sad to say, the best long term solution is to get rid of all but a couple of trees, so light can get in there and grass can grow.
