I am 60 years old and this takes me right back to childhood. My daddy and granddaddy fished every weekend out on Alligator Alley or Lake Okeechobee. My mama made killer fried fish, hush puppies, cole slaw and we would always just open a can of pork and beans and sliced white bread. Boy do I miss my mama and her cooking. That’s why I love to watch y’all. U bring back so many great memories. Thank you for all that u do.🥰💝🥰

I'm a Bostonian, and appreciate all of Chris' shirts with Boston on them! 👍👍👍 My Papa was a native Georgia peach and used to take me fishing for bass and catfish on the St. John's River, near Orlando, when he retired from the Navy. My favorite meal of all time is his fried catfish, bass and hushpuppies. My Nana made her hushpuppies and fish like you do, but without the mustard and creole. 😋

Y'all take me right on back to being little and going to Granny and PawPaw's to eat with every one of y'all's videos. There is not one single thing thing that y'all have made that I wouldn't eat and I have no doubt it'd all be delicious. If you've never tried House Autry's seafood breader for frying your fish please try it! I promise y'all it is soooo good!! You ain't gotta salt the fish or add any seasonings at all because it's already got everything in it. That stuff is sooo good, it even makes the best homemade fried chicken fingers!! It's in the same section at the store as the hushpuppy mixes and corn meal. It's soooo good you'll be hooked on it! Love y'all!! 💐💕

Tammy. Watching a few videos on different sites, I notice when a recipe calls for an egg cooks just crack it in. I always whip up my egg ( as in like for an omelette) that way I’m sure the egg is equally broken down, to go into the recipe . You don’t end up mixing the batter too much ( some recipes want some lumps not overbeaten) just my take on this subject. Love you two working together!!!!

I really like your fish fry and I’m definitely gonna try the mustard on the fish. The shrimp looked really good too. The Shaw looks good too. I really like the way that you cook just enough for the two of you. We been empty netter for about 15 years or so but some times I simple make too much and it seem like we eat it for days. However, I’m slowly but surely breaking my self from doing it. I like your portable electric stove it looks really handy. The hush puppies look good but I can eat some kinds of peppers they make me really sick and very quickly.

My grandmother did not like fish, but my granddaddy fished. So grandmother heard that if you coated the fish filet in mustard, it took the “fishy” taste away. That is the only way I remember having fish from about 10 years of age till grandmother died many, many years later. To me the fish tasted the same, but grandmother insisted it was better. Your video really took me back to good times.
