I have a compost pile and chickens for disregarded vegetables nothing goes to waste. I love gardening and fresh eggs either way worth have a compost pile don't have to buy dirt I get black gold every year for the garden beds.

I was always taught to not mash potatoes with an electric mixer. It turns them to glue. I never have. I use a hand potato masher, I have several different kinds, and recently began using a potato ricer which I really like.

With a mixer it’s whipped potatoes. With a masher it’s mashed potatoes. When you use a mixer just don’t over whip the potatoes. Whip until just mixed. Also add butter and hot milk before whipping or mashing. Just use a little at a time till the constancy you want. When using a mixer don’t use a too high speed.

Wow. How old are the videos with this kitchen? I feel like I've been watching for a year or more and this is unusual to me. Did they do a serious remodel on the kitchen? I'm used to her stove and sink being on the same side, the big island in the middle, fridge on the other side of a doorway near the sink and then she had the little toaster oven down on the left of her stove.
