Soil temps are ranging from 45-49°... I'm getting a ton of rain though so it's helping warm up the soil after a cold night. Literally just lucky right now 😂🤙🏾

Hi- I am new to your channel. You are so informative and a great neighbor to your community. I live in Houston, Texas, and have St. Augustine grass. I have several weeds - probably all that you spoke about in one of your videos. I have seen several videos that refer to me not using a scarifier on St. Augustine and using a verticutter on this type of grass. What is a reasonable verticutter for a beginner that I can purchase? Also an inexpensive motorized aerator. I can't use the manual due to my ticker. However, where can I buy seeds of St. Augustine Grass at Big Box or online? Thanks for all your help in advance, and continue to keep us informed.

You should try liquid aeration and a sand top dressing spread by a spreader. Unless you can find a Dethatcher that can be set to 2"-3" you might be cutting too many stolons. As you can see my Dethatcher is set to .5" apart this would eat up your grass. I don't have experience with st-aug but I know those runners are easily pulled up. Liquid aeration and sand should do the trick! ☺️🤙🏾

😂 pressure wash coming soon I do it twice a year usually after overfeedings... but this year I'm gonna pressure wash early cause it got bad 😂 I have a petra hd4000 BPS it came with the dual nozzle tip. I've been using this backpack sprayer for 4 years no problems ☺️🤙🏾

You just gave me an idea for my verticutter. Mine can only go +10 or -3 mm or even lower. I'm going to try to tape it or something so I can verticut not too deep.

I literally put .3 oz per 1000sqft…. I mix it with iron and nitrogen and I havnt burnt the lawn yet…. You can try to up the dose as the season goes by ☺️🤙🏾

So soccer pitch is 30mm and below I cut the front at 25mm to as low as 9mm. Bent grass is all the way down to 3mm super easy for soccer pitch just reel mow and keep it at 25mm. USA soccer is usually Kentucky bluegrass ☺️🤙🏾

That’s what I’m worried about but my bentgrass cultivar crystal blue links is pretty shade tolerant… we shall see this end of spring it will be the first spring the greens has ever seen ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾

Bentgrass requires verticutting at least twice a month… just skimming the sand and soil to push growth. I aerate and top dress with sand to fill aeration holes… little bit different process for greens I follow golf course style ☺️🤙🏾
