Do you clock rotate mowing your green? I grew up on golf courses as my dad was the head of maintenance at Innisbrook. We would go with him when he was short staffed to help work. That meant pulling goose grass by hand and as I got older mowing greens at 5am 🤣 Each day the direction of mowing changes on the green like the face of a clock. Loving your content. Can’t wait to see Rick’s lawn progress! Keep up your great work and content!

What’s up bruh love your videos and the daily uploads!!!! I bought a Petra HD4000 im spraying simple lawn solutions every 2 weeks , I’m just unsure if I’m doing it right, (getting use to Petra for sure) I set the rate to the lowest psi on the knob, I have a complete yard or just under 4000 sq/ft should I put 4 gallons with 8 oz of each product? Keep the videos coming
@YardBrah8 ай бұрын
Yeah you can totally knock out 4000sqft with 4 gallons and yes your application rate is good... They recommend 4oz per month per product per 1000sqft x 4(you're property) 16oz per month / 8oz per 2 weeks / 4 oz per week your application is every 2 weeks you're applying 8oz of each product for your 4000sqft YOUR MATH IS PERFECT ☺🤙🏾 Now pay close attention to growth... thickness... color always take picture before you spray and take another picture the next week and the next week... best way to see a difference is with picture log! ☺🤙🏾

The thing about golf greens is the amount of rolling they get. It's similar for how they prepare a pitch in cricket.
@itzNickyJayBeats8 ай бұрын
What's the difference between the apron and the collar and the greens? Obviously the greens being a very very very short cut and maybe a specific type of grass like bent grass? Can you have a rye grass greens? I just overseeded last winter with rye and I would love to make a tiny little mini golf course in my back yard is literally perfect for it and would look so awesome!

Hey man just found your videos, love what your doing. Just wanted to give you a few bits of fact that i hope will help with your little greens project in your back yard. Im a mechanic at a golf course, i keep everything running and cutting right, and i assist the greens keepers with mowing and tending to the grounds. If your looking to get that same look with a collar and greens section we have different types of grass planted in those separate sections. The greens are usually a type of creeping bent grass, it becomes very dense and hearty when properly kept. You got he mowing down good but i suggest for this project to strictly use your reel mower, mow often, and keep your lines defined. Cutting with a non reel mower can harm your grass because it doesn't cut it so much as tear it. And that not only opens up your grass to disease but it will also keep it from growing evenly and wont give you that look you desire from a golf green. The reel mower will clip it like a pair of scissors, making a clean uniform cut, helping the grass grow evenly and keeping it healthy. You probably already know most of this but i figured i could maybe pass on something you may not have thought of. Keep doing what your doing, your lawn look incredible.
@YardBrah8 ай бұрын
Thank you for tuning in! As you start watching more you're gonna realize I'm an addict for reel mowers.... I also have 2 greens mowers a Hudson Star 11 blade PGA edition greens mower, and probably the only one in the world United Kingdom ATCO Short-Cut 10-blade greens mower 😂 Please give as much feedback and tips as possible here everyone loves to learn from everyone and def love learning from the turf pros! ☺🤙🏾

I don’t know much about lawn care, but I do know a lot about liquid nutrients and additives; You’re supposed to dilute them into your water individually (micros, N and then your P, K and additives last), never mix the concentrate solutions together (in the tank or in the measuring cup). You can potentially lock out certain elements. Usually magnesium and calcium.
