Agree to disagree on the Blue Flash part. John did an amazing thing and he is arguably the patron saint of backyard roller coasters. But I gotta say, this coaster is worlds apart from the Legendary Blue Flash. They're both amazing coasters, but for different reasons and in different ways.

You should try to build one, it’s way easier than you might think, the hard part is welding the car and the cool part is you can build it as long as you want, you can even try to beat a record like the most launches if you somehow build 7 launches make it go upside down 15 times or make the longest duration of any coaster

I liked how you made the heartline roll from the maverick. If you saw that i bet you never would have built it. Good idea but best to build it with an inversion already in the design.

My dream flat rides for my backyard - Topspin - S and S swing Dream Coaster - A mini colossus from Thorpe park that makes the rattling sound at the top *However* the noise of these 3 rides are loud Top 3 loudest -Topspin (releasing the brakes to flip) -Joint 1st is S and S swing because of the air continuesly going -Mini colossus because of the deafening rattling sound

Thanks Celeste! It was a truly scary coaster even without the fire. The squeaky noise in this video is because our lift hill chain and gears needed grease. My bad 😇

4th of july u should have fireworks set on a switch that triggers with magnets as soon as the ride starts that pushes an an electronic trigger that launches bottle rockets from behind the coaster... that'd be so boss.. you are so good at what you do. You should try building a boarding station and a que line for easy access and operations and friction wheels to get to the lift and cat walks for the lift hill

Really nice! How much something like this cost for all of the materials? How hard would it be to say build a 100 foot coaster if you had the space?

Hi Travis, The cost will vary based on the materials you use. Assuming your labor costs are zero, a coaster track like this one will probably cost between $7 and $12 per linear foot, including steel, paint, lumber, welding wire, screws, nuts and bolts. Materials for the cart can cost anywhere from $50 to $750. May I suggest reading my friend Paul Gregg's backyard roller coaster book.

If you're going to build another backyard roller coaster why don't you use one two three maybe four roller coaster seats connected to each other that way you got one two three four people sending each one and make it where are the seatbelts can go over your shoulders like to do in NASCAR racing and try to do a loopy one roller coaster but at 4 roller coaster seats once you get done with it posted on KZbin channel
