This is a great video. This is the genesis of diagnostic microbiology which we most of the time students don't pay attention to leading to practicing like robots in the diagnostic microbiology lab who just follow protocols

Not all living cells convert glucose to pyruvate. There are chemolithotrophs that do not use organic molecules as a source of carbon, electrons, or energy.

How is the bacteria proteus utilising urea in citric acid cycle? The Krebs cycle is linked to the urea cycle, but that's true in humans too (although some of the urea is excreted). Besides, urease just converts the urea back to ammonia so how is it recycled for energy production?

@susannaheinze7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Some of my videos are too slow, I agree. One of the commenters suggested speeding it up to 1.5X to make it move along a little better! But I am not sure what you mean by the other part of your comment. Was there a specific part of the video that needs further clarification?
@marianabacalim16137 жыл бұрын
I think the pace is just right. Gives you enough time to understand and memorise the concepts without the need of pausing the video. Thank you for the effort!
