Good information I'm in Thailand. I'm getting drooping during full sun exposure and they perk back up when it's not in direct sunlight. Temperatures are constantly 95+f. Not sure if it's the sun or the heat from the sun. I don't have the option for sun shade cloth. If keep in area with no direct sunlight they seem to do okay. Any suggestions?

Hello and thank you for watching my video. Im so pleased to speak to a fellow home garden from Thailand. If your peppers are planted in a full sun location and your air temperatures are 95 degrees plus, your peppers are definitely experiencing heat stress. You should definitely water them twice per day, one early morning and once after the sun starts to set. Always water your peppers at soil surface especially if you live in hot, humid areas, Heat and humidity are #1 contributors to material and fungal disease. How are your peppers doing in the evening hours after the sun starts to set? Do the leaves look better/less stressed? Be well and Happy Gardening!!!

@@lyubafranco they are still young and only about a foot high at the moment. I can't water twice unfortunately because the pots stay moist for a very long time and I'm afraid of them getting bacterial or fungal pathogens. I just hit them with some hb-101 and a amino/fulvic/humic acids combo to improve heat tolerance. Hopefully that helps them a bit

@@richardsanchez8808 Makes sense whats happening to your peppers especially now that I know you're referring to younger pepper transplants. They are for sure very stressed out from the sun exposure as well as the very high air temperatures. I also hope that the combo application will help save your plants. I'll have my fingers crossed for you. Please keep me updated, stay in touch. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!

@@richardsanchez8808 Yep, that's what I thought that's why I asked you. Its definitely the stress from the sun exposure and the heat. They are young hence they are even more stressed out. Hopefully as they'll get larger, stronger they won't be as stressed and won't stress their owner out as well☺

Can you still eat the peppers from a plant with bacterial wilt?
@lyubafranco
@lyubafranco 2 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching my video. You're asking a very good question. Yes, you can still eat the harvested peppers. The plant itself is considered severed/dead but the fruits are fine to consume. After you'll get rid of the impacted plant I would not plant another crop in that same location until you'll replace the soil. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!

Is theres any fungicide to prevent bac wilt
@lyubafranco
@lyubafranco 2 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for watching my video. You're question is excellent. Bacterial wilt is It is the most destructive disease of many Solanaceous crops such as potatoes, peppers, tomatoes and eggplant and is a significant source of crop loss worldwide. Physical, cultural and chemical controls have been employed to combat this destructive disease. However, none of these strategies has been able to control the disease completely due to the broad host range and genetic diversity of the pathogen, its prolonged survival in the soil and survival on vegetation as a latent infection. Some of the best things you can do to prevent bacterial wilt is throughly amending the soil prior to planting. As degradation of organic matter may affect the survival of disease-causing agents directly by releasing inhibitory substances in the soil, limiting the available nutrients. It may also increase microbial activities; thus enhancing the possibility of competition effects. These activities can lead to stimulation of micro-organisms with antagonistic activities against pathogens. You can also rotate crops seasonally. Meaning if you grew peppers in that location this year, next year plant squash or cucumbers instead. Also you can disinfect the soil as a replanting method and as a post planting method. Hot water between a temperature of 70 and 90°C can be poured into the soil before planting to increase soil temperature to levels lethal for weed seeds, pests and pathogens. I hope I was able to answer your question. Be well and Happy Gardening!!!
