I thought there was no antenna connected to my radio, thanks for confirming it's the conditions 🙂 73.

First time I'd experienced almost total lack of signal, but when I heard voices they were distorted and unintelligible. - N4MJF

In a few minutes you have done more for us than the entire RBN, DxMaps and PSK Reporter. Those sites still show those silly colored lines and arrows and blobs as though nothing happened. Nobody actually explained the real phenomenon going on. I was planning to send my IC 7300 for repair (after already buying a new antenna). You have done a great service for amateur radio. Hopefully the ARRL will follow your lead and send out proper propagation conditions and guidelines on an hourly basis.

Hard to hear your voice over the static. L OL 😢

Haha, next time I'll turn the radio down a bit more 😅. I thought anyone would be interested more in hearing that there is only static at the moment rather than my own blabbering. Best greetings!

Good for those that like to experiment with aurora bounce communication.

Schließ doch eine Antenne an 😇 Ich hätte das Gegenteil erwartet, dass es besonders gut geht. 73

Here in wwi we been dead since april 8 solar eclipse!! And conditions seem to only show when 15s unit air noises increase no air noise no conditions

Sounds like 10 m on a normal Day in the United states. Is seldom anything up on that band.
@federspitze6 ай бұрын
In Europe the 10m band is quite active most of the year. As the antenna only needs 5 meters of wire, you can be QRV even in a small apartment as mine.

@@federspitze interesting. It's always pretty dead on the northeast US. Once in a blue moon someone will be using the band, but maybe 1 in 50 times I tune around.

@@basspig When the conditions are back at they used to be, I'll do a video about it for you 🙂 For example, a few weeks back I could hear Lebanon with exceptional S9 signal because of sporadic E at just the right moment and position on 10m. But only a few minutes later reception fell below S3 until it completely vanished in the static. You gotta be quick for a QSO, but so do other stations who are QRV 😀

@@federspitze I remember a time, back in 1979, when the sunspot activity made the 11 meter band very lively. You could DX across the US on a mere 50 watts, sometimes less, if you could break through the S9 noise levels from thousands of radios on the same channel all piling in due to the strong propagation.
