i would strongly recommend playing addons because it shows a lot more to the story. 100% recommended. More maps. new animals, new gear/weapons and more to the story :)

The story of this game when I played it was one I really didn't expect it was kind of neat. Shame that the "good ending" is still kind of a bad one too.

It may be difficult, but you should do a compilation of all of the times you got bit by a snake, and include your reactions. I think it was the 2nd day when it seemed like you were wearing snake attractant. (LOL) Fun recap videos and enjoyed the original playthrough. Glad I caught most if it live.
