Bad Apple!! is a track by ZUN (featuring Nomico) for the game series Touhou Project. The games are bullet hell shooters made by Team Shanghai Alice, who is a single person, ZUN, who creates all aspects of the game. Bad Apple!! is one of the most popular tracks that appear in Touhou Project. Since its release it has been the subject of countless Black MIDI creations and arrangements, so we thought we ought to make a playable version for all of you! This piano arrangement is tricky but rewarding to learn, so if you love Bad Apple!! you'll love this!

Wow... use Pentatonic and then throw in a natural F to make everything unstable and fall apart... that is genius! I mean yeah, it's technically it's Eb minor, but this is a cool thematical analysis. That's also why the harmony crunches so much, they intentionally use lots of augmented 6ths and major to minor 3rds, making it feel so forced and stressed. I love it!

A year ago (22.08.19) a baka who will be later known as "Long Live the 9" stumbled upon this masterpiece. This has immediately become one of their favourite SMB videos. They have been listening to SMB covers of Touhou songs for three months until one day they begun questioning - where did the song come from? They were too much of a baka to directly search for it, so a long journey started from that day on. They have also found quite a few Touhou covers, but they still didn't get the answer - what is Touhou? A month later they have found a single replay - Pandacard's clear of EoSD Stage 5 on Lunatic. This raised even more questions. Combined with a few comments they saw in a random comment section (quote 1) "...how similar these are. Touhou starts with two girls who got lost in a forest." 2) is basically Bad Apple lyrics and 3) is "It seems they are going deep down the Tohu route") which have kinda misinformated them, this made them think that Touhou was about hopelessness and it was about trying to find your way out of a kinda scary place while trying not to get killed by VERY difficult-to-beat enemies with little to no HP. And, also, they thought it has different endings. That... seems totally wrong, doesn't it? Well, now take the kinda depressing song, combine it with these comments and add a Touhou 6 Stage 5 run. What happened in their mind? Only Satori would know... But I will tell you anyway. First of all, forest + depressing music and lyrics made them think the game was about desperately trying to get out of a forest where the day never comes, where a lot of dangerous creatures lurk and you have almost zero defences. The "Tohu route" made me think it had different routes. Seeing that replay made the feeling stronger... They didn't even notice Reimu was also shooting during the replay. And Evil-Sealing circle, for some reason, increased the hopelessness feeling. So yeah, a scary maid trying to kill an innocent-looking girl in a weird outfit. The location made them think it was... a magically protected area in the middle of the forest where the main villain of the forest is located. Pretty ominous, isn't it? The last detail was "two girls" while in the replay Reimu was alone. So, they thought, the red girl has abandoned (or has been abandoned by) her friend... A cherry on top, of some sort, was the difficulty. That's much darker than any of the PC-98 events... The poor soul was scared of Touhou at this point. How sad would it be if they just turned around... Hovewer, time to add yet another figure on the board. JzBoy, love him or hate him, his saltmine is amazing. I am fairly certain you know that exactly did they watch. The Undertale vs Touhou videos. They immediately got a strong feeling of respect for Sakuya, but the fact that the black girl was around made them think it was a better ending. A red mansion in a middle of a forest... I am fairly certain you undertand what they thought. The dark and horrific view on Touhou grew even stronger than before. Poor soul... Who was the savior? Who turned them back to light? The Great and Powerful MegamanOmega! Once they have stumbled upon his channel their picture of Touhou got into the right position! The watched all of his videos in February. Then they started working as a saltminer in March. In August their PC was finally back and they were able to 1CC all the maingames over the course of a single month. And here their history... ends? No, it doesn't. It fuses with the present and the future. Ame... no, not at all. This story should end with something more optimistic! Long live the ➈! Edit: and now I'm here once again after I've beaten LLS Lunatic. Damn... from this video to a L1CC... I did not expect that.
