@@Solo13508 Doubt it, Palpatine probably just had him killed. Rampart was a high up, and he knew a lot of secrets. If he SOMEHOW escaped however unlikely that is, and decided to get back at Palpatine, that could be pretty bad. Palps doesn't like liability.

We already knew it was Mt. Tantiss but the actual name drop was my favorite Star Wars-related thing to happen this week. I literally squealed at my TV 😂 Also I'm with Kyle on the nostalgia of episodic sci-fi. I grew up watching Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis so whenever Star Wars dips back into the old formula of sci-fi TV storytelling I don't get mad, it's just a nice throwback to my childhood

Same! Especially because it's a format that really suits the Bad Batch in my opinion, and it's a nice change of pace from some of the other SW shows that are heavily focused on long arcs about the Empire or Rebellion. I enjoy those types of episodes in Bad Batch too, but I've also really enjoyed these smaller-scale adventures that show us more of the galaxy.

That Imperial Commando is now OFFICIALLY named Scorch, as per this episode's credits. Lovely seeing the Zillo Beast again, having worried that episode would be left in the dust. I'm glad they're finally coming back to hunting Omega - I wanna know her story! Why is she a special clone? Because she's female instead of male? Like, that can't be all. She must have more to her. This episode rocked my brain, dude. What an episode. It took me a bit longer for me to catch on that it was a Zillo than you, but I definitely suspected before the full reveal came around. When it first showed up, I had absolutely no idea, then I started thinking about the fact that they had cloning materials all around, and realized "Wait... that's not the Zillo Beast, is it?" Then the shot of it towering over the energy generator came up, and I was like "Holy shit, it is!" I'm really interested to see how it gets "weaponized". We know in the Clone Wars, the idea was to use its scales as armor, but maybe the plan's changed.

The opening reminded me a lot of the Death Troopers novel. A derelict ship floating aimlessly in space, no crew left onboard. Properly creepy. Almost made me think they were about to reintroduce Project Blackwing back into canon. But I’ll definitely live with the return of the Zillo Beast! Star Wars’ very own answer to Godzilla has finally returned after nearly 15 years!

But we still don't have the answer to why Omega is SOOO important to Nala Se. It cannot just be the fact she's 100% original Jango Fett DNA. After the Kashyyyk episode I firmly believe Omega is the first cloned organism that is force-sensitive and only Nala Se and Lama Su know about that.

This opening made me think of Death Troopers by Joe Schreiber. It's a novel about a zombie break out in a similar ship and Han Solo is a prisoner. He has to break his jailment and then escape the ship amongst a shipload of zombie stormtroppers and it's phenomenal!

Personal Crosshairs theory: He goes to see Rampart in prison and finds out the full plans to get rid of the clones in the Imperial army. This sends him spiraling, as he has given everything up for the empire. Might trigger a last second change of heart where he sacrifices himself for the Batch.

I am. Very happy you didn't have to eat the R5 loool. I chanted Zillo Beast after the intro of the episode. I really wanted that thing to come back this entire time. And then they showed the baby version and I also thought "well nevermind. Doesn't really look like it. UNLESS... It grows into one" and then the reveal. So satisfying lol! I want to know what exactly they're doing with the beast!! Also hoping for Scorch to get in on the action :)

After this episode and noticing the tension between the Batch and Cid, I think Cid ends up betraying the Batch to the empire. Remember in the race episode that the Batch were warned about Cid’s loyalty. I think Omega gets captured either in the last episode or the rescue is the last episode. I noticed that the last episode is called Plan 99 and wondered what that could mean. I think that now means the plan for rescue.

I'm not that deep into Star Wars lore so keep that in mind, but here's a prediction: Omega will be captured and brought to Tantis. The Batch will go in to spring her and along the way the Zillo Beast will get out and shred the place. Side bet: Omega will be revealed as Force-sensitive and she will manage to connect with the beast. (Less likely but would be cool to see.)

i love the little details that the writers are taking into account from the Republic Commando series. In the books, Delta squad stays behind on Coruscant with the Empire along with Niner and Darman while the rest of the commandos escape to Mandalore with Skirata and Vau. There was also mentions in the books by the captured Kaminoan, Ko Sai, that the chancellor wanted them to do something for him that even the Kaminoans found foolish. In the books, it’s hinted that the chancellor had asked the Kaminoans to prolong his life or even make him immortal. This is also a goal of Kal Skirata’s for his sons (the Republic commandos of Omega squad, and the Null Arcs, as well as Vau’s men from Delta squad). It’s why Ko Sai was captured in the first place because she had the research and the ability to prolong the clone’s lives so that they would no longer age quickly. I hope that if this is the route the writers are taking that we get to see more commandos from the books and possibly even Skirata or Vau themselves. I don’t know it would just be very smart writing wise to do too. This could be a way to introduce new Mandalorian clans that could no doubt appear in The Mandalorian series too.

Great reaction! A couple thoughts- depending on who removed Grogu from the Temple, he may be in that facility at this time. And maybe I am over thinking, but when Lama Su mentioned to Hemlock he would need to find a young girl clone the trooper behind him looked over at the other clone as if to say "Wait, WTF, did he just say we have a sister?" It would be interesting to see how reg clones who have not met Omega would react to finding out about her. If you had 10 million brothers and somebody told you about a sister wouldnt you want to meet her?

Finally! After watching the episode, I had looked at the reactions of several KZbinrs because I wanted to know if anyone else had my reaction to the "Baby Zillo" and finally someone did. ^^ Scorch, RC-1262 from Delta Squad showing up here again, and thus being canon again, could have a huge impact on what the future of the Commandos looks like in the Star Wars canon. Especially with regard to their instructors and friends. I'm thinking in particular of a certain Jedi who survived Order 66 and then donned Mandalorean armor and the Null ARCs. XD

Fantastic episode. Really loved it! We finally got word on the Zillo Beast after 13 years. So great to see that creature again! I can't describe how vindicated how I feel as a fan who watched it way back in 2010. Just pure VINDICATION! Did anyone else almost get faked out by the young Zillo though? Looking at it, I went "Is it a Zillo Beast? It looks different" but then there's the lines about Coruscant and it and grows and I said "YEP NEVER MIND!"🤣 The whole energy eating thing just made me wonder. I started to wonder whether they combined the Zillo's DNA with something else Indominus Rex style and I even thought that's what they were hinting at when Omega talked about the equipment. The moment when it transformed fully was SO epic. The way it was shot, the music, so good. Hunter was like a driver swerving to avoid hitting a deer, only the deer is a massive monster who could eat them all in one bite. I LOVED Lama Su's line about the Empire having the resources they want at their disposal but lacking the expertise to fully use them. That is PERFECTION. That feels so in-line with how we know cloning will go for the Empire in The Mandalorian and Palpatine's attempts to create a Clone vessel for himself.

crazy guess. correct me if this is already confirmed or debunked. what if part of omega dna is also nala se? aka in a way omega is her daughter with dna mixed with jango fett or spliced dna of boba when he was created. looking back when they first met omega the forehead ornament she wore is similar to nala. so nala really cares for omega most likely not just because she is a unique clone to be safe but her daughter to be safe. super tin hat here but i wouldnt be surprised if filoni sets that up. crossbreed/genetic children isnt new for him with hera and kanan son plus i think for cut and the twilek wife.

No doubt about it! I’m glad they brought the Zillo Beast back! But what I’m not glad about is that they added Indominus Rex around effects from Jurassic World (2015). They did the same for the Trandoshans when they added raptor sound effects from the Jurassic Park films for Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
