FYI: If you have the AUX battery, you need to change both at the same time. Otherwise the AUX battery will kill your main battery. And you are very lucky you didn't take out your fuse array by not taking the AUX battery ground wire off the negative terminal and wrapping it up to make sure it didn't short out. A lot of people have blown the expensive fuse array doing this.

Good to know - thanks! Had followed the advice from the auto shop guy who sold the battery. He had said to replace aux if the aux error persisted, which it hadn’t since I replaced main. Both check engine & aux error went away. I’ll look into pulling the aux battery & checking it out too.

@untamedterrain lot of us delete the AUX battery altogether. Then, just run the larger H7 battery for our main battery. It will fit in the same tray as the smaller battery that comes in them if you don't have the towing package.
