We always have bacon here, ready to go. My wife cooks up 1- 2 lbs a week. She does the oven method, works great, cooks it to 95% done. Stored in a plastic bag in the fridge, take out 1 to 2 slices in the morning, place on a paper towel, and cover as well. In the Microwave for 10 to 15 seconds on high....Perfect! My wife also keeps a little bacon grease on hand for cooking eggs, or will finish her bacon in a pan along with her eggs. It's all good! PS...I've watched Seinfeld, I know about Shrinkage.

So much easier to just line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and put it in a cold oven at 400 degrees no mess nothing to clean up including your hands you just wait until the grease hardens and throw away the tin foil your done

I forget what it's called but I have a two piece bacon cooker that you put bacon in slots and when it cooks in the microwave it drips grease into a drip pan.

The hands down best bacon cooker is the George Forman grill, actually that's about the only thing i use the appliance for. Not much mess and it saves the grease which is almost as important to me as the bacon. An even less clean-up way is to put a piece of foil twice as large as the grill folded at the hinge edge so that the bacon rashers are enclosed top and bottom and the grease can escape into the tray at the bottom. Essentially no clean-up and several sets of bacon can be cooked using the same foil. It does take longer to cook that way, but it's a great way to cook bacon lattice!

A toaster oven is nearly as quick, delivers better results, is easier to clean, and you can save the bacon grease for cooking. Personally I cook whole packs of bacon on a sheet tray (in the regular oven) and then freeze it.

@@jobalonie1 Hi Joan! We have a large mouth mason jar that we drain it into. We use some for cooking, and if it gets close to full, then I run hot water on the outside of the jar to melt it a bit, then pour it into a baggie and throw it away. Quick, simple, minimal clean up!
