Bad Boy Buggy wiring to balance batteries - $20 fix- Design flaw or Oversight?

Why did the EZ go factory wire this way? The lights caused batteries to draw down at different rates. Thanks for watching!

I have a a bad boy almost exactly like this one. One of my controllers are blinking green 3 times and the other is blinking 4 times. Do you have any insight that may help remedy that?
