Its crazy that you are suggesting that people have an issue with watching a Smith movie over a slap when there's been accusations for directors and actors far more serious than a slap that people ignored to watch their projects. The bias is real smh.

I would watch it just to make a point. Movie Stars are a dying breed, so to loose Will Smith due to the drama when we had to keep up with far less prolific and consistent “problematic“ talent seems like another blow to the movie business as we know it.

I love this movie! Great fun action and emotionally motivated. Reggie has the two most iconic scenes in the franchise. Martin got revenge for Chris Rock in one one scene, and no one is talking about it! 🤣🤣

I really like the sound of this but I don't know if I can get past some of the issues you mentioned. Films are about escapism so if I'm unable to separate the issues from the film I probably won't enjoy it. Great review though!

I just saw the early access screening and loved it. I immediately recognized Michael Bay during his cameo scene. I’m doing a double feature movie day next week with this and Inside Out 2 next Thursday.

I just watched it. I really enjoyed it. It was great if only for the gag that was 4 movies in the making and that wasn’t even the crux of the gag; what prompted the gag was glorious.😅

Grace was right about _Young Woman and the Sea_ being a really good movie; I saw it today. I don't think they bothered advertising it, and like she said: the poster was bad. In a time when Women died on a steamboat that caught fire because they weren't allowed to swim or learn to swim, a girl has the dream to swim the English Channel! Maybe it will return to theaters next February?

I just saw this and it was definitely a crowd pleaser! Happy that I was in a packed theater on a Wednesday too. It was probably the first time in a long time where I heard a whole theater cheer and applaud and laugh as a collective.

I could care less about the "slap". I care more about all the talk about Will hanging with P. Diddy. I am willing to bet that he has been to a few freak of parties. Who are all of the celebrities that were there. I believe that a lot of people are disgusted by celebrities at this time...why ticket sales are so low. I'm willing to bet that the movie will flop. Just my opinion.

So three white men write the film, you say it’s a really good film. And then you immediately undermine the contribution of those men by saying, “It must be because Will and Martin fixed their dull script that it’s any good at all.”

Having behind the scenes info (re the last Bad Boys (2020), I can confirm that a Black man gave the best ideas for that movie to these white writers. From plot, to asthetic to soundtrack and score. Not sure about Will Smith's and Martin's input, but Im sure they added some too

The only reason is Will Smith? Have you seen the box office lately? There's plenty of reasons it could do badly.
