In this house of suffering I gotta let some joy in I hear that freedom will winOh, where, oh, where can Jah love be now? My dear, it's here in the underground Inside the hearts of your own childrenIn this house of suffering I spiritualogic grinnin' One way grace is my friend To conquer doom and sinAnd all the nations lying While all our people crying And they stop at nothing Nothing, nothing

I saw them for the I Against I Tour, in 1986. As I was Just telling my siblings after watching this recently, The ENERGY At THEIR Shows (and I've Seen Tons) Was Like NOTHING ELSE I Have EVER Experienced. It is An Undeniably Spiritual Energy. There is So Much Conviction in HR's Singing, POWER Behind The Music.......There is NO PIT Like a Bad Brains Show; But it's not a normal, 'aggressive' pit; It's Like This Massive, Undulating Wave, w/ people flying across the top of it constantly and crowd surfing. There used to be So Much Drama at Hardcore shows in the 80s, and I wasn't completely innocent in it, BUT When This Band Played, NO DRAMA FROM ANYONE. ANYWHERE. NO B.S., Thee NO. 1 MOST Spiritually Uplifting Experience in My ENTIRE LIFE......The Band is Nothing Short of HOLY.......you got me when you said ' energy '

@@ThinkerOnTheBus Sublime took in HR when he was homeless in Southern California in the early 1990s. Acted as his backing band while he got back on his feet. They talk about it in the documentary Finding Joseph I
@AlxFitz3 жыл бұрын
@@seanm5258 Shame really, Bad Brains should have been one of the biggest bands in the world but HR kept sabotaging them. A crazy fact that I learned from that Finding Joseph I film is that Island Records wanted him to play Bob Marley in a biopic! HR wasn't always mentally well so it wasn't really his fault, he was always very wary of people in the music business due to his paranoid tendencies.

Yes, not closely, at all, but a very good friend of a very good friend ;)
I didnt know about this band they were were too ahead of their time. Sort like the real nu metal announcing itself in the early 80’s. This is like Korn coming out in the 90’s but early 80’s with their own style.
