It's Breton tradition to cuck their women. You will hear all about how Direnni cucked Breton men but it was the other way around, Direnni ladies just couldn't resist Nedic boys. But like...No seriously, that's propably what actually happened. We have account of Nords meeting Breton ancestors for the first time and they looked like Elves and Nords stopped killing them, only when one of them started talking in broken Nordic. According to book "Notes on Racial Phylogeny", children usually take racial characteristic of their mother so it doesn't make sense for those early Manmeri to look like Elves unless their mothers were Direnni. There's book in ESO "Once" which is written by one of the last Direnni and it makes lots of bold claims, such as Direnni being responsible for inventing modern Conjuration, Alchemy and Enchanting and claims that one of the Direnni build Blackrose prison in Black Marsh using army of Stone Atronachs, claim which isn't mentioned anywhere else and also claims that all Nedes serving under Direnni were "Thralls or concubines". It's likely that "Nedic concubines" is nothing more but propaganda invented by Direnni men to cope with the fact that their wives and daughters prefered Nedic boy-toys over their own husbands and this version of events was adapted by early Third Empire which was extremely racist. In the First Pocket Guide you can see statements like this "the Nords of the pure blood still unquestionably surpass the mixed races in all the manly virtues" while describing mixed ancestry of Bretons as "lamentable". It would only make sense with such a worldview to spread Direnni men propaganda by Third Empire to emasculate Bretons and other "inpure" ethnic groups that inhabit Tamriel and present interracial relationships as something unnatural and cruel, done by wicked, enslaving Elves. Breton boys stay winning, cope harder Chimperials.
