Yes, I noticed that to. I also like it. And also the fact that he chose not to aim his fist at Jonathan Kent when the latter was temporarily imbued with cryptonian powers. It means there is still good in the version of Clark Kent under the influence of red Kryptonite. Also, another important point is that he doesn't kill people. So he is bad, but not evil.

A lot validity in this statement. However, the other truth that comes with this is the fact not everything you feel defines who you actually are. How you act on your feelings is a big part of what shapes you (we all have "good" and "bad" internal feelings at the end of the day right?).
