So my clutch pedal is not disengaged (clutch is up) and I hear a really loud noise. When I push it down it goes away.. So, I start to accelerate and I can hear it very distinctly all the way until 3rd gear.. I would love to send a video to you.. You're the best mechanic I've found with a video so far

That’s most likely your throwout bearing

@@bappo5492 it's not.. Because throwing bearing is only when your clutch is engaged (pressed in) when the clutch is out it's the input shaft bearing that makes any noise. I found the solution but I'm not paying 6k for a rebuild

Nissan KAs and SRs use pilot bushings, not bearings. That sounds like a throw-out bearing noise. The harder you press on the clutch - the more pressure is put on the bearing hence why it gets louder, the harder you press the clutch.

with lightened flywheel, most cases the transmission input shaft bearing will chatter also just another thing to consider

Im a bit stuck..... Changed the entire clutch kit on a VW T5 minibus few weeks back.... Flywheel, clutch plate , pressure plate and release bearing...... All went well and bus drove okay for about 2 weeks and now theres a whining noise when in gear but quiet when in neutral.....also difficult shifting gears..... Only reverse goes in smoothly...... And theres a strong smell almost smells like house gas.....but i see no leaks..... Watched a bunch of gearbox videos and the only conclusion i can come up with is a faulty input shaft or the synchronic plates inside the gearbox that might be worn...... Any ideas?...... I doubt that its the clutch components because its all brand new

Also when i fitted the clutch kit i didnt notice any play on the shaft....... Gear oil was changed as well..... I want some ideas before i decide to take the gearbox to a specialist for overhauling

Noise in gear but not neutral I understand but it would be better to have more detail. Gear meaning every gear or first? Stopped or moving? Clutch pedal up or down. These are the valid details. How old the parts are, not the focus, smell interesting but not really helping to validate of eliminate any possibilities. FYI input shaft bearing noise is much different symptom than worn synchronizer rings causing hard shift... and unrelated.. so you need to get more accurate if you don't want to misdiagnose this. Or consider having the shop you plan to have overhaul it do the professional diagnosis. Sometimes trying to save money costs you more, especially with diagnosis. This is the highest level skill in automotive and the majority are not good at it even with years of experience.

My car is automatic a 2014 infiniti q50S hybrid RWD and once I'm driving between 5mph and 20mph I hear this kind of sound. When I press my brake and come to a complete stop the sound goes away

Sorry, you will need to have that diagnosed by a good repair shop. You vehicle does not have any of the bearings in my video. Your automatic is completely different than a manual. A good shop will charge you diagnosis time but if they correctly diagnose the cause, it is well worth it. Paul

Hi, i have a Renault over here in the UK. My clutch has plenty of bite, and drives fine, but makes a funny sound like a iron gate creaking for a split second. It usually happens when downshifting and not under load. If i coast in say 3rd, put clutch in and lift it slowly, about 3/4 the way release i get the little creak noise. It doesnt do it when in neutral and releasing the clutch at any time. Its almost like a dry rubbing sound that only shows up when driving and shifting down will no throttle. Any ideas?
