Having 2 CBs over the age of 30 and who move like cranes it was always going to catch up with how bad defensively we are, Botman cant come quick enough, also Bruno Joelinton gordon are having a terrible season so far, all well and good against the top sides, they need to put the effort in for the smaller sides. The owners have let eddie down let's be honest, a stale squad with players knowing they have no competition, a mid table team is about right.

I love this Pod and channel, Love Si to pieces but seen a change in views with podcast growth , Has felt like the podcast is towing the club line as they obviously have a good relationship with them, bit like the local press. Not a bad thing, Obviously it's important to work closely with the club but feel it maybe does make you all be les critical at at times, being here since day one pretty much, it's obvious to see. I know this isn't the Mike Ashley era either and things are 10x better now but something is wrong with the club, top to bottom it's not all pulling in the same direction and I'm not sure who's to blame! @sicampbell11 Mate you been saying the same thing in the last 3 or 4 podcasts, be careful for what you wish for because if you think Eddie is the right man, we give him the season we have a terrible January transfer we then finish outside of Europe we lose our best players and any upgrades on those players wont want to come. We need a proven manager with a decent c.v not only to win games and change things up, but to give some decent players the edge to want to come to us. I know we got Bruno, Isak and Tonali but they come for the project they need a better manager to play under. Thank's Howe for saving us from relegation and giving us a taste of those European nights of football but we need to move on and up a level now. The last 18 month is sort of making Eddies first start to the season look like it was a case of luck or a formation/tactic that couldn't be worked out which now has. If i could offer you some advice for the podcast stop been so nice and stop looking for things to defend the reason why we are playing so poor.

There is so much wrong at the club and mostly comes down to Eddie. If 7th had got Europe Dummet and Richie would be sat on the bench this season. Pope is a prime example, was exactly what we needed but is miles away from a top keeper. He should have been upgraded 18months ago. Too loyal . Liverpool already have Alison's replacement lined up. This needs sorting. The squad needs refreshing, we need players out and in. We have zero consistency, the same problem positions remain. Back to striker, right winger and a top centre half. May I suggest that what we see manifest on the pitch is a reflection of deeper seated issues running through the club. Here are the facts at this moment in time: There has been a realignment of the ownership model, Amanda has gone. The board dynamic has changed, who knows the impact on the team and what the strategic vision might be. There has been reported discontent between the Team Coach and the new Sporting Director; which maybe continuing. There has been the discovery that the club cant spend money to build the playing staff, instead the club will have to sell to buy. We've been through two transfer windows in which no players have been brought in to strengthen the first team. There are no new sponsors on the horizon, no new training ground planned and no announced plans for increasing stadium capacity. The club and the so called project has stalled,...completely. Looking at this situation and evidence objectively, it seems reasonable to surmise that the club maybe at a pivotal point; which maybe affecting the playing staff. It seems possible that PIF maybe reconsidering their involvement in NUFC. IF,.....they are planning to take their project forward, I would expect them to do something positive to enthuse the fan base over Christmas. For example,...bringing forward the announcement of development plans for St James Park. What do you think?????????????????????? We are United PennyXxxx

Howe’s win hack in 22/23 and parts of 23/24 was to blow teams away in 30min spells. Last time we did it was preseason against two decent CL sides. Why can’t we go back to that? I liked that.

Howe’s system relies on the press enticing oppositions into making themselves vulnerable to create chances off of that. The 30min bursts worked because we’d be hyper-aggressive and brave with the element of surprise that season, opponents would make mistakes, we’d score, and then they’d have to chase the game leaving themselves exposed to turnovers and our fast counters. The reason we can’t get back to that is quite simply he’s been figured out and he lacks a Plan B. When teams sit off, go long, or play through us to bypass the press we’re left horribly exposed due to Howe’s man-to-man pressing structure which often sees our deepest midfielder pressing centre halves and our centre-halves following forwards into their own half. That creates a gap, and it’s in that gap where opposition managers have found that we are vulnerable. Thus we start aggressive, look decent for 20mins, concede chances as the press fails, and then our heads drop mid-game because Howe keeps telling them to be aggressive while it isn’t working. We then go behind, and we’re not good enough with the ball in the final 3rd to break down stubborn defences, and if we’re still behind on 60mins Howe throws on all the attacking options on his bench (bar Osula) so we have no proper shape, and the game then peters out unless Barnes or Isak score a worldie.

This season going the exact way i thought. We needed three players to improve the starting 11 yet we didn't bring in one. Once you stand still in the PL you will hover around mid table. Individual mistakes at the back are proving costly,also being very wasteful in front of goal is killing us. Schar and Burn must be the slowest Centre back pairing in the league. Scary and worrying to think only three teams have spent less than us. Howe has worked miracles at our club but until he gets players to improve the starting 11 the inconsitancy will continue.

I can't understand why he didn't persist with Tonali - surely we needed to build on that embryonic midfield relationship, even if it was for 60 mins? We could have been in command by then. We are not sufficiently proficient as a squad to be able to rotate players in and out of the first team. Getting adequate cover for Isak/Wilson and acquiring a top class right winger have been festering sores for two years now, and we are still no closer to addressing them. Tino looks short on confidence, so we need to bring Tripps in, if only for his leadership qualities and keep him until the summer.

It’s a mess. You can’t blend a 6 in, and then take him out, put barnes on the right and Tino at LB, joelinton doesn’t know where he’s playing barnes back on the left, Gordon on the right, Miggy on etc…. It’s confusing!!! If we want consistency, we need to choose a position for each player so during flow of the game it’s instinctive from memory

The game against Brentford was the exact same game as against Liverpool. Good first half, wasted chances, poor second half. The only difference was Brentford were more clinical than Liverpool were. We could have easily lost 5-3 to Liverpool. We need to get more results in the games this month, so we've something to play for when Botman finally gets back to solidify the defense next month.

Imagine you get up tomorrow and you hear that Eddie been sacked. How would you actually feel? Secondly, who would we end up with? Not who you want as manager but who we would end up with? PSR is working. That’s the problem. It’s working for every team outside the top six. The rest are being drawn together in terms of quality. If you look at the squads of teams like Brentford or Fulham or even Palace the players they have over all are not that far off what we have. I’m not saying things are really ok ‘cos they’re not. For me even Pope looks a shadow of his former 22/23 season self. Since his injury he looks not fully on it. Dont know if anyone else has noticed that. He was so commanding and vocal two seasons ago and if your defense has that behind them they are obviously going to be more confident. When we play againat the big teams the Defence suts deeper so don't get exposed as much. Against the lesser teams we have to attack more or are expected to. So we get exposed defensively due to our defence playing higher up. So Burn and Schar who have no pace get destroyed

If ever there was a season Nufc needed a bit if consistency this is it, Liverpool apart every team are dropping points, any semblance of consistent form by us could have had us in the top 2-4, we are not a good side, our formation is awful, our set pieces are a joke and our passing at times is non league level, 2 awful passes against Liverpool cost goals and two awful passes against Brentford also cost goals, Hall & Tino have talent but are so defensively naive, Schar is done, no pace and backs off too much, Bruno is no captain, What actually does J7 offer, we need more that a battering ram, Barnes, Miggy and Murphy are simply not good enough, I am still pro Howe but I feel he has lost any spark he had, his insistence on playing 433 with players a granny could run past is a joke, we have become a very predictable team to play against and a team unable to change things mid game, worrying times ahead

You look like your going to cry Alex. It was a Sh1t game but we are a mid table squad with a mid table manager. We have mid table investment levels and are in a huge state of flux. We have no right to be better than Brighton or Brentford. Our upper managment structure ( we dont even have a chairman) is a mystery. We have no stated vision and we have had no significant funding for last 18 months. The club is stagnating and ofcourse this is happening on the pitch too. Is Howe needing sacked? Maybe. Will sacking him fix bigger issues? Certainly not.

Think a lot many managers can be higher than 12th in the table with 20 points from 15 matches on a negative 2 GD with the available quality in the squad. First season - "Howe is a genius", second season - "Too many injuries and European matches", third season - "Not enough quality". Its just complacency, happened at Bournemouth too. He reaches a very commendable spot and then things go downhill.

My concern is the opposition makes adjustments at half time (Slot changed the double pivot to a single pivot) but I don't know if Eddie anticipates what the opposition will do.
