We do enjoy your videos. Brent reminds me of a lot of the family farmers in our area. Also am very pleased to see "old iron" still in use, as all of our tractors (and most equipment) are old enough to vote. Watching the mowing... one thing to think about... we used to make corners to the left like in the video (we have always done it that way for 60 years... why change) until we tried turning to the right and missing a bit in the corner as the haybine cuts across. It feels REALLY odd to leave that little bit in the corner, but as we finish the field we run down the corners and clean up what was missed. This little change has reduced our time in the field significantly since we are always cutting and not raising the haybine up to make the sweeping turns. Pointed turns are still done the standard way. We put up about 1500 4x5 each year and keeping the dicsc-bine on the ground and cutting all the time is surprisingly effective. (This doesn't work with a sycle-bine but works fantastic with a disc-bine.) Keep up the videos, they are great.

Good afternoon Miss Taylor and Brent. Did you get your haybine fixed On the GEHL discbines that we have had on the farm they all had a shear bolt on the drive shaft that ran from the top of machine down to the number 1 turtle The on that is on the right hand side if looking in from the tractor end. On ours you had a 2 piece shield that covers that shaft so you need to remove that first. There were actually 2 U joints under the shield that both needed to be greased actually we had one that the spines on the shaft wore smooth so the cutter bar would not move but the crimp rolls would still turn Ours actually had the same type shaft on the turtle on the left hand side

Tay, I know you really llke running the IH. Not to be picky as I'm not with the old faded tractors we've had around here for years. If you have some old paint around maybe red or white or maybe black I'd just take a brush and paint the inside of that sun shade over the operators platform. It would be a good background when your're taking videors of you on the seat with the cover in the background. I wouldn't use any expensive paint and a brush just to touch up the color. I've painted old tractors with a brush so they look good at a distance. These were older tractors. All I cared about was how they looked better at a distance.

I understand lpickups getting low on fuel especially with alot of on and off use, but I heard lately that low fuel can cause fuel pumps to overheat and maybe go out. My favorite Dodge with the bigger gas engine had two fuel pumps going out on the road over years of constnt use. Don't know if it was because i ran the fuel tank too low or just poor pumps.
