Listen dude, you've been one of the reason that I got into skating, and how I figured out what parts of it that I like. I also learned some really good basics from you. Please, please, PLEASE wear a helmet. I'd be heartbroken if anything happened to you.

@@Char1ieskatelol,You did not prove anything you made an observation about walking ( where are your experiments,control group etc) you are not walking here lol,you are moving at sometimes crazy speeds,I agree that there is a minimal chance of a head collision but there is a probability ( I do speak from some experience and qualifications in medical, health safety ( 35 years) and 🤣 suffered concussion while skateboarding as teenager. Not that I'm qualified to give YOU any advice, but you passed parked cars so close at such speed I had my heart in my throat (don't know if the phrase exist in English, but I think it's expressive enough). Got a pair of skates today with your inspiration lol, i use to play roller hockey with my friends back in middle school and I was pretty good with the roller blading aspect of it(I’m 21 now), I just went for a ride and didn’t realize how difficult it is at first, it’s definitely not like riding a bike and you never forget, it also might have to do with the fact I have tri skates with 100 mm wheels, maybe not the best choice to start with again but I’m up for the challenge, thanks for the videos there really helpful🙏🏻 keep up the good work

In fact I've taken example of Bill and Shaun Unwin, and I'm sloooowly daring to skate on wet floor from time to time 😱 It's a great exercise to learn to control your stride, edges, and overall awareness of your surroundings and state of the ground.
@AlanosaurusRex3 жыл бұрын
@@Bavmorda I live in Ireland where it rains 151-225 days out of the year, it is no surprise that this form of exercise isn't popular here! I took up skating about 2.5 months ago. Winter started to set in and I quickly realised that I won't be able to skate outside as much for a while. Still, I skate when I can. I got a lovely one in today which fed the beast...it wasn't completely dry but the grip was good so I went for it. ^.^ It has built my confidence up a bit in that I now know I don't need completely dry tarmac to skate! I have been considering buying Powerslide Torrent wheels to skate on the wet but maaan they are expensive..and currently the drag stop is my main method of stopping as I haven't got the powerstop or powerslide down yet so I would wear those bad boys out too quickly for the price. Do you have any advice on types of wheels -other than torrent- that would be good for wetter surfaces? I have a set of street invaders on their way to me by post which I suspect might be gripper than the Powerslide One cheapies I have now.
@Bavmorda3 жыл бұрын
@@AlanosaurusRex I have skated those Street Invaders and have no complaints about them. Some people say they don't last as much as others, but I was really happy with them. They have great grip, work for slides and aren't worse than others on wet floor. Haven't tried Torrent, I don't think they make them in smaller sizes like I use... But I don't see any of the top street skaters out there using them, so I don't think they're really worth the difference. I live in Galicia, Northwest Spain, where we have this microclimate also full of rainy days... But I also tell you, I didn't really feel like trying skating on wet floor before I felt really really confident on my skating. One step at a time...

I agree, not responsible, but god damn it got me excited! I do wear pads and a helmet occasionally. Going to skate bowls or try new tricks of ledges. Basically when the risk of falling is high. All that aside, it takes serious balls to skate like you do. Simply going fast and enjoying it rather then instinctively wanting to slow down. Subscribing!

Hello. Quick question Bill, I just received my Bauer RS senior Hi-lo (yellow wheels). I do freestyle ice hockey, but with these bauer rs, I can’t seem to do a hockey stop (parallel glide). Are the wheels that came with this skates can possibly do the Parallel glide at least? Given that the skates is just a day old? (Can it slide after a normal few wears?) Or do i need a special wheels to power glide? (I really can’t afford at the moment) so I’m trying to check the possibilities. Cheers!
