Side note, you should take a look at my Short called "Battlefield Chessboard" and then decide to make one yourself. I would love for my idea to get out there some more. Most embarrassing story: When I was in my twenties, I had fertility testing done. I did the deed, collected the sample and headed for the lab. I get to the lab to turn my sample in and the woman behind the counter turns out to be somebody I had a massive crush on all throughout high school. She noticed me and was like "Oh my gosh! I haven't seen you in years how are you?" I was stunned by who I had to turn my sample over to and my brain froze. Instead of responding in kind like a normal person, what came out of my mouth was "Oh hey I was just thinking about you!"

Most embarrassing moment: Got an invitation to a birthday party from friends I was in the University with a couple of years before and when I arrive at the place, they saw me and said: "Oh, we invited the wrong (first name)" in front of everybody. But they gracefully let me in so I drank the whole fine bottle of wine I brought as a present and once it was empty I went home. Never spoke to them again.

Most embarrassing story: I was drinking too much and stayed over my buddy’s house that night. The next day I woke up and hung out for a while and then needed to go home to shower and change. I lived about 15 minutes away. On the way, I get pulled over and the officer tells me that my license plate is on upside down. Immediately I know it was my friend’s brother pranking me. I explained it to the officer and he let me go to fix it. I got pulled over two more times on the way. I was so angry with him. Finally I get back to my friends house after fixing the plate at mine and start yelling at him. They all explain to me that I was the one who decided to play the prank on my friend’s brother and turn his plate upside down but accidentally did it on my own car. Lesson is don’t drink and play pranks 😂

Most embarrassing moment: Fist day of work as a civilian at a military base, first job out of college. Walking down a hallway to the cafeteria. I turn a corner and all the soldiers, airmen and sailors in the hall snap to attention and salute. I was like, Wow! This is Cool! I salute back. Military people coming down the hall as I walked along did the same thing. Again, WOW! This is so cool! I salute back again, trying not to smile. The hallway opens up to a rotunda. A 3-star admiral and his aide walk past me. They'd been behind me for I don't know how long. As we pass, the admiral smiles at me and salutes. The disdain in his aide's eyes was killer.

Most embarrassing moment: I had an Orchiectomy when I was 17 (look it up), and in the post op evaluation the doctor asked if a student could join. I told him to bring them all in, admittedly I was trying to be sarcastic, but he didn’t pick up on it. He said that it was a great idea and thanked me for my compliance I couldn’t stop him before he left but I wish I did because he returned with 5 beautiful college aged women and proceeds to examine the surgical site by whipping everything out into the open air (everything, it was almost akin to a mechanic throwing open a car hood) I was petrified of women and embarrassed of my genetic gifts so all I could imagine to say is that it was pretty cold being uncovered. The doc replied with “we can all clearly see that you are cold” (referencing… obvious shrinkage) which resulted in uncontrollable laughter from the students and a life time of mental scars to my psyche.

They shared data from before 2020 the FTC claims they shouldn't have, but had already changed specifics before the FTC approached them. People seriously blow this so out of proportion, because they read headlines or listen to a few YTers that want to doom-draw viewers or something. It's wild. It was over 4 years ago at this point they changed their policy, which compared to many other sites that aren't medical related was child's play. Google sells far more sensitive data on all of us daily lol, idk even aside from that reading into it it just doesn't come off as worse (if anything it's better) than taking a Ray on sponsorship. @@BlacktailStudio You're not the first channel to push "Better Help" for ads. A lot of the large channels do it. As with most advertising though, sometimes people pay to get their name out there even if they aren't the best. That's why it's called advertising. I don't blame you for using them, but I would suggest keeping certain ones in mind that are negative experiences for your viewers. You'd hate to lose subs over ads. For instance, Perkins Brothers channel did an add with a gambling game ad a few weeks ago and it was so negative in the comments, they dropped the video and removed the ad, then re-uploaded and said they wouldn't use them going forward. I thought that was very kind of them to understand that while nobody necessarily wants ads, it does help pay these channels, so in some ways, the ads are part of the content and the viewers had to like them. Btw, you're still awesome and this was another amazing set of tables! I'm trying to get wealthy enough to get you to make me one... in the meantime, I purchased a 40 year old table and have been sanding it. Embarrassing story: For my birthday one year, I had a bunch of my friends over at my house including a girl that I have basically been in love with since highschool. I was doing a "make your own pizza" thing where I had made all the dough and sauce myself and was cooking everyone's pizza in my nice vintage cast iron skillets. My sister was over with her fairly new like 7 month old baby, and at one point she asked if she could give him a bath in my shower. In the back of my mind, I was praying that she would not use the hand soap bottle I had in there. I had previously replaced the soap that was in the bottle with mineral oil for personal.....massage reasons... Sure enough a few minutes later she comes running out of the bathroom freaking out and yelling "What was in that hand soap bottle?!?!" She evidently thought that, since I was a cast iron enthusiast, that maybe I had made a sodium hydroxide solution and put some in that bottle for whatever reason. (sodium hydroxide is good for dunking an old cast iron pan in to remove all the old built up carbon and baked on grease) Anyways, she is making all this commotion and despite trying to quietly calm her down so I can explain the situation in private, she is hysterical and demanding an answer now. So with all the frantic cooking going on that I am responsible for combined with her hysterics, I yell out in front of everybody "ITS F***ING MINERAL OIL!" Everybody is now looking at me and her and she asks "Why the f*** do you have mineral oil in a hand soap bottle in your shower?" to which I reply "Why do you think I have something like that in the shower?" Now, everyone is looking at me and laughing since I basically just admitted to everyone that I have a bottle of lube in the shower for doing the deed. And my sister had just covered her very young 7 month old son in lube. Worst birthday ever.

Most embarrassing story: Had a long distance friend over for a weekend. It was our first face to face meeting as well and young me already had a crush on him. As I was just 17 or 18 I still lived with my parents and two brothers, so dinner was full table. We had a lot of fun! Unfortunately some food didn't sit well with me and I had to flee to the toilet.. As they were still loudly discussing and laughing I thought I could cautiously relieve myself without anyone hearing anything.. as I relaxed... they seemed to stop for a breather or something... and I, unable to stop at this point, ripped out a fart as loud as I had NEVER before... and the laughter was right back, even louder. Fortunately I'm a girl that's not embarrassed by having basic body functions. So I put on my bravest face and tried to laugh with them. Seeming to be cool with it impressed my crush.. so success? And that is also the only reason, why I'm not dying inside, whenever I think about it 😁

I'm a former materials engineer and all materials suffer from creep. This is a tiny amount of internal forces that slowly distort materials. Usually in the direction of a force - but that force can be as little as gravity, how the structure is made or just the internal stress from manufacture - in terms of wood that manufacture, is growth. Maybe that tree was exposed to higher winds on one side than another, was on a tilt etc etc - that would build in natural stresses that when the wood is cut and made into sheets just sit there waiting to deform the shape. Drying helps but it is still luck what happens. The addition of C Bars would have enough strength to resist minor creep. In the case of wood if that creep occurs on one side more than another, you get bending. So the bars would help.

I think I can outdo you in the embarrassment area Cam - I once went for an interview around 2006 at a tech company as a product manager. I had a panel interview with 4 people ,- two men and two women. Everything was going fine...then came to the point where I had to give the usual 15-minute PowerPoint presentation on how I would approach the role. At the time the only USB drives I had were work ones, and I didn't want to use one of those for an interview at a competitor, so I borrowed one from a work colleague. When the guy asked for my presentation, I promptly gave him the USB drive with it on so he could load it on the PC connected to the projector. Thing is, their company PC was more modern than my old home laptop, with a new version of Windows with fancy new features like displaying ALL the documents when you plug in removable media. So I had to look on in horror as the projector showed the USB drive opening and displaying my work colleagues collection of dozens and dozens of porn images which must have been in a hidden folder on the drive. The guy loaded the presentation anyway, and I had to spend the next 15 minutes presenting to a group of people who thought I was some sort of absolute deviant. Needless to say, I wasn't offered the job!

My most embarrassing story is I used to deliver wine and liquor and one time when I was downtown I was delivering to a nightclub in a high rise building. And when I was in the freight elevator I noticed my shoe laces were untied and so I bent down to tie my shoes. Right as I did that, the high speed elevator started to climb and the momentum of the lift and then me bending over, pulled me face first straight to the ground and I hit my face on the wheel of my hand truck and broke my nose and got a pretty bad black eye. After I made the delivery and came back down to ground level, I walked out of the elevator and the guards at the security desk were dying laughing as they asked if I was ok because they saw me on the security camera. So embarrassed, but you have to laugh at yourself lol

Many, many years ago, when I was first starting my journey into medicine, I was working at a hospital as an orderly. I walked into a room late one afternoon and I saw a man that was supposed to be in the first bed, on the floor, on his hands and knees scurrying about the floor with his rear end toward the bed. Instinctively, I thought he dropped something, and I got down on my hands and knees, and I started looking around on the floor and under the bed. I asked him "did you drop something?" "can I help you find something?" the man looked at me and actually tapped me on my head and he said sternly "get out of my way, I'm trying to get to the bathroom!!" and as I move to the side, he scurried across the floor toward the bathroom... he had no legs 🫣

Most embarrassing moment: When I was in my mid-20's I took a girl I was dating at the time out for a bite to eat at a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, it was raining that afternoon so we decided to get the food to go and head back to her place where it was dry and comfortable. Well, I started telling the girl who was taking my order what we wanted and to be cute and win a few points I told the girl that it was for "my name" and...for whatever reason I got lost in the girl's eyes and blanked when it came to my date's name. I just stared at the the girl and she blushed, I totally blanked and I guess my date took offense to this and stormed out of the restaurant and of course...there were a bunch of guys in construction on their lunch break watching the whole thing, they, in unison started laughing themselves to tears. By the time I paid for the food, she somehow caught a cab and was gone. Needless to say, we were no longer dating a couple hours later. Their laughter still haunts me...

one of my first jobs was tech support at a small scale dial-up ISP in the 90s. we had a rotating shift where you would do like 3 weeks during the day, and 1 week on nights. it was open from like 6am to midnight. as it got pretty slow after 8-9pm, we would do things like play frisbee, nerf guns, and stuff like that. well one night we were playing with our nerf guns, and then a guy in a suit walked through a hallway entrance and one of MY nerf gun arrows hit him on the shoulder. right behind him were 3 other people in suits. he apologized to them, all the "toys" disappeared from view, he parked them in a conference room, then came back out to see me. turns out, he was the CEO/Owner of the company, and he was in talks to sell the company to AOL which is who the 3 other people in suits were. he told me, if they hadnt been there, he would have gone to his office and gotten his nerf gun and join in on the fun, but unfortunately he had to send me home and fire me. he would give me a great recommendation to my next job though.

When I was 15, I attended a Billy Keller basketball camp. You know, typical camp stuff; dribbling, shooting, trying to impress your friends and NOT embarrass yourself. So there we all were, sitting on the gym floor, listening to Billy give this really intense motivational speech. I was hanging on every word, feeling super inspired... and then it happened. I accidentally let out a fart. Not just any fart, this fart echoed through the gym like I had a microphone attached. It was so loud that Billy Keller, an actual basketball legend, paused. Like, mid-sentence, dead silence, just staring at me. I wanted the gym floor to swallow me whole. Safe to say, that was the most embarrassing thing that could happen to a teenage girl. Ever. I think the tables turned out beautifully. If I had $25000 to spend on tables, I’d totally buy them.

THOUGHT I had silently burped while engrossed in my book and heard a very loud and lengthy belch. Wondering who on Earth was so rude to do that (kids were a whole lot more polite in class way back then) and looked up. Only realized it had to be ME - because everyone was was just as disgusted staring directly at me.

Most embarrassing, well one of them. I thought I was locked INSIDE my place of employment. It was previously an oil change shop and my company turned it into an office space. Everyone had left and I was working late. They had locked the doors when they left that required a key weather you were inside or out. I left my key in my car. I immediately panicked. You know, following instructions first thing, everyone panic. I called coworkers and no one answered. I then called The POLICE 😂 They showed up to find me with my hands and face pressed against the galss door pert near hyperventilating. Their first question was is there a back door? Oh! You mean THE GIANT garage doors on the back of the building that have an open/close button, like any other garage door, RIGHT BEHIND MY DESK?! Mortified. Regarding the tables, they are stunning per usual. $25K for Both?! That surprised me. I wasn't even a little shocked at $25K each.

Most embarrassing story: I was taking the SAT in high school and we had a break between two sections of the test. One female student walked up to the teacher and said something very quietly. The teacher whispered, "No," then turned to the class and quietly asked some nearby students, "Do any of you have paper?" I raised my notebook over my head and LOUDLY said, "I got paper." The teacher muttered something like "Oh... no thanks." Everyone in the room seemed to get real quiet and start staring at their desks. I realized that the teacher had said, "Do any of you have a pad?" because the girl was on her period.

There was a guy I worked with that we would always pull practical jokes on each other. It helped pass the time. The best one I ever did on him was completely random and not even at work. I went to Walgreens to get some ibuprofen. He happened to be there also. It wasn't packed but there were plenty of people there. I walked to the end of the aisle he was in and said, very, very loudly "Hey Adam, the ointment for that itch you have down there is two aisles over." and just walked away. The array of emotions on his face was amazing. It went from confusion, to realization, to anger and finally embarrassment. All within seconds. The best part, unbeknownst to me, was his girlfriend was in the next aisle and she started belly laughing.

Me and my buddies used to do something similar in check out lines and other public places when we knew people near us were within easy ear shot. One guy would ask “so what did the doctor say?” The other would respond with some version of “it’s not contagious this time. It just needs some ointment.” Follow up would be questions like “do you know where you got it?” or “are you going to say something to her this time?” Pick your favorite private conversations, pick a time and place to embarrass a captive audience (store clerks) and have some fun. 🤙🏼

Most embarrassing moment ever…When I was 22 years old I had to get a physical for a new job. You know how those go, the old “turn your head and cough” thing always comes up. It’s usually an old man that makes it a little less uncomfortable by not making eye contact while getting closer than two men, who just met in a professional setting, should ever be. When the doctor walked in the room I was surprised by this absolute bombshell of a woman that couldn’t be more than a few years older than me. Blonde, slight but athletic figure, a face that belonged in fashion magazines. Knowing what was coming, and with all the raging hormones of a young man, I knew I had to do something but my brain was paralyzed. As she went through the physical my situation was getting more and more dire and I was losing all control. I couldn’t believe what was happening. She saved the toughest part for last and I finally decided I had to say something. “I need a minute” I said. She smiled and told me “it’s ok, we’re both adults here.” I tried to be firm. “No, you don’t understand. I need a minute.” She walked closer reaching her hand towards my boxer shorts. “Let’s just get this over with.” But I’d lost all control and saluted at full attention. Her hand snaked into my shorts before I could run away. She was so fast. Her hand was immediately more full of her intended target than she’d expected. She stepped back and said “oh, you mean you need a minute.” She made a hasty retreat and I wanted to turn into a speck of dust that has no thought or memory so I’d never have to relive that moment again. A week later my friend and I walked into our local mall (25 years ago ok!). Our destination was the Sunglass Hut. No sooner had we walked in than I saw the doctor walking towards me. I hoped she wouldn’t see me but instead she called my name loudly from down the corridor. My name! She remembered my name even. Shit! Then…she walked up and asked how I was doing. My friend stood there, stunned and mute, wondering how I kew this exquisite and dangerously smoky woman who would call my name so loudly from afar. She introduced herself to him and then “so did your buddy tell you what happened last week?” Forget doctor patient privilege, or the law for that matter, forget that I’d tried so hard to warn her, forget that she’d just met my friend and that we were in a public place with lots of other people. She told him the whole story! I thought I’d been embarrassed beyond anything I’d ever experienced in her office and that nothing would ever take me to that level again. I was wrong. It was just as bad or worse than before and my embarrassment reached a lower low. But only until a few minutes later when my friend mentioned how jealous he was that she’d taken more than a handful of me, and more than she’d bargained for, and didn’t run away the next time she saw me.

When i was a younger lad and cellphones were still somewhat new, the Marine Corps put out rules that Marines weren't authorized to walk and talk. No exception. My buddies and I were working out behind the barracks and saw a Marine with more rank on the collar and swagger than any of us had come across in our budding careers. I tried to urge others to stop him. Nobody wanted to. So I approached him, "HEY MF! The Marine Corps Commandant put out a memo no Marines walk and talk. Dont be a shitbag!" Those words left my mouth as I was running up. Who I ran up on was a Sgt Major getting the grocery list from his wife. I then proceeded to get verbally assaulted. Before he left, he made sure to get my name and command. The next day, I was promoted for courage in the face of duty.

By far my most embarrassing story comes from my 8th grade trip to Washington DC. My class was very small because I went to a private school. As a young kid I always knew I would end up working in EMS and I was a bit of a squirrel when I was younger. A term for someone who is “obsessed” with EMS stuff. I had a small first aid kit in my backpack and once one person found out everyone found out. Everyone was poking fun and making fun of me. I said “why is it a problem? I’m certified in CPR and first aid through the Red Cross”. People kept going and kept poking fun at me and someone started asking questions. I got so fired up that I blurted out “I’m certified to give birth”. The entire bus erupted in laughter and even the teachers were holding back laughter. I was mortified. I meant to say I was “certified to deliver a baby”. As a 12 year old boy, that was the most mortifying, embarrassing and horrifying thing that could’ve happened to me. I grew up in EMS and public service. Spent all my time hanging out with firefighters, paramedics and EMT’s. I work in public service now and I regret the day I have to “give birth” IE deliver a baby, because I know that I’ll probably be holding back laughter. All I’ll be thinking about is that bus ride to Washington DC. PS. I’m no longer a “squirrel”, thankfully I grew out of that. 😂

That reminds me. As an awkward and socially inept 13 or 14-year-old boy, I happened to hug a random WWII Vet in Washington DC at the National Cemetary. It was so weird. I was already almost 6' tall and randomly side-hugged him with almost no exchanging of words. The confused look this 80-something-year-old man gave me was quite something. He wasn't offended or anything, he just seemed weirded out and uncomfortable, as I'm sure anyone would've been. I'm just hoping he thought I knew someone who died in the military or something. I've got plenty of retired vets in my family, but none of them have died. I wasn't even alive when most of them were in the service. I'm sure glad I'm an adult now.

So, I was playing football for the church football (soccer) team in a tournament against other local teams and it was a quick turnaround between matches, we were literally going from one match to the next. So I was one of the oldest players in the team and when it came time for us to get a throw in, a younger player took it with shouts from his dad of ‘pass it to him, to him’, pointing towards me. He threw the ball to me and I took it in my stride with skill and enthusiasm taking it past one player and then the next thinking I had reached my peak level of sporting genius. It only slightly crossed my mind why it was this easy, like, I was totally breezing past these other players. With the goal in sight I let rip with a right foot rocket and boom, straight in the corner, it was a goal and in my mind, the greatest goal ever scored. It was then all the other players on my team started shouting and looking in disbelief at my legendary skill. Yep, I was confused and had taken it down the wrong end of the pitch and scored an owl goal but not just a bad own goal but one that will forever be remembered by everyone in attendance. I am sure it is still spoken about around drinks between friends to this day. Needless to say, they never passed to me again.

Cam, I actually built one of these table bases back in 2022. I don’t believe that drawings would really be very helpful when in reality the hardest part is figuring how to get the pieces to stay together. I made a sandwich of plywood and marked on each where the ends of the wood would lie. I then used some strategic cuts to make resting spots where the wood intersected and then screwed, glued and plugged. It was very challenging and that was with drawings. I have no Idea if this helps but I do have drawings and pictures. -Ben

My most embarrassing thing: I was in job corps and we were required to take a communication class and I was never one for public speaking so naturally I didn't want to take the class. One day, we were given an assignment where we were assigned a job title and we had to make a presentation to the class about our "jobs". My assigned job was "Rocky Mountain Oyster Farmer" and at this time....I had no idea what rocky mountain oysters actually were. I thought they were legit shellfish. So there I am....a fear of public speaking, telling this entire class about my job and how much I love farming and eating these oysters. People were laughing and I'm pretty sure the teacher had his hand covering his face. I thought it went well and did a pretty good job at the presentation. The embarrassment hit when someone waited until after talked up this impromptu job to ask me if I knew what those oysters were and then informed me what they were. I felt the tone of red that my face turned.

My most embarrassing moment had to be the brain incident. In 2020 I had 5 brain surgeries to attempt to remove a tumor. During my 4th on I believe was in April I had some complications of my brain swelling. Needless to say I wasn't going anywhere, and it was Covid so no visitors. Well we get a late April snow and the wife thought it would be a funny joke to take a picture of it and tell me it was Oct. 2020. I instantly thought they had kept me all year and began removing my IVs and attempting to rip things out that I didn't know had a balloon in them. I don't remember much after that. The next day I wake up and the nurse informed me that I had to be restrained with mittens and belted to the bed and then sedated. I asked how bad was it and without hesitation he looked at me and said "You were an absolute nightmare, are you going to keep being a problem?" I'm never letting my wife live that one down.

It was very early in the morning, sometime just after sunrise, so I flipped the mattress, put the sheets back on and walked home, in my pee pants, never to show my face around there again.

I went on a first date dispite having some leftover food poisoning symptoms. Met her, had a nice first drink and a few laughs. I felt my tummy doing something weird after adding a bourbon to it. Long story short, I made it to the bathroom but just as I was closing the stall door, I soiled my pants with what I can only describe as baby poop from a two month old. I took off my underwear, wrapped them up into a as small of a ball as I could and tried to flush them. I know... I know... I panicked OK? The toilet overflowed. My shoes were wet with toilet juice and the inside of my pants got.... Poo liquid... On them from seeping through my underwear. I did my best to clean up and returned with a soggy, bathroom soap smelling pair of pants. I still have moments when I'm going about my day and suddenly remember that and my whole body goes cold.

Most embarrassing moment Went surfing in Santa Cruz California and had to climb down rocks to get to surf spot. Fell on my ass right hard on the last rocks that led to the water, took it like a champ went and surfed for about an hour. Got out of the water and was standing at the railing watching other people surf still in my wetsuit getting ready to leave and I get a tap on my shoulder. “Hey dude your ass is hanging out of your wetsuit”. I reach back and to my horror my entire ass is completely exposed and I had torn my old wetsuit when I fell on the rock. I had been paddling around, surfing waves, and looking like a complete ASS with my ASS hanging out of my suit for wayyyyy longer than I’m comfortable with. I immediately hopped on my bike and rode home!

Alright Cam. I'll give you an embarrassing story, I'll go harass Foureyes in echange, please listen - betterhelp is NOT a good company. They've settled lawsuits and paid fines for violating patients privacy, and people in the LGBTQ community have been outed to loved ones by therapists who broke confidentiality. I get having to pay the bills, but please there are better sponsors. I was taking martial arts when I was 20, and during my black belt exam, in front of my senseis, the girl I liked, the friends I had in class, I split my pants doing a high kick. I didn't have a replacement pair, and they didn't have one in my size (thick legs) so I ended up putting on a brave face and finishing the test. As my sensei said "conditions in the real world are rarely perfect either."

It’s a shame to see a channel I’ve enjoyed for a while take the Better Help sponsorship. I thought it was possible that maybe you just weren’t aware quite how sinister a company they are, but after reading your replies to others commenting and voicing their objections, it seems clear that you don’t really care. While a few people unsubscribing may not affect your bottom line, I feel like when there are a fair amount of comments speaking about the negative impact this company has had on many people, you should take notice and do some research rather than respond with sarcastic comments. It’s completely understandable that you would want to take on sponsorship, but when you have such a large following, it’s incumbent upon you to do research on the products and services you support. I’m disappointed in your approach to those trying to explain their stance and I hope you take the time to reflect upon that and are more careful about what you advertise in the future.

One of my most embarrassing stories: So 14 years ago I’m at the movies with this girl. It's the second date. We watch Sex and The City 2 and it's pretty good actually. I got this big bag with popcorn in it and also my cousins gun. It’s my right to carry. We are watching the movie for a long time. I start feeling weird, like my stomach’s about to explode. I tell her I need the bathroom, and as I stand up the gun falls outta the bag and makes this loud noise. Everybody’s staring at me now. I try to walk out real fast, but security comes over. They grab me real hard and right then I shit my pants. It’s bad. They handcuff me violently and my pants fall down and there are kids there. I’m already a sex offender cause of something stupid. So they arrest me, no chance to explain. The girl? She’s gone. So embarrassing. No third date. Straight to prison for years. Love your tables and I hate The Beatles too

My most embarrassing moment was when I sang literal gibberish in front of the entire vocal department in college. For those who know, this was also for my upper divisional. For those who don't, your upper divisional is one of the biggest make or break semesters for music majors' primary instrument and, at least at the schools I attended, had to be passed to take your upper level courses. That semester, I had this gorgeous, melancholic strophic french art song that was the bane of my existence. Learning the notes was easy enough as strophic music is repetitive in nature, but the french, oh god, the french!! No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't memorize the lyrics and eventually was left no choice but to perform it ready or not. Well, the last day I could perform eventually came. I'm feeling confident as I nailed the first verse. Then, as I open my mouth to start the second verse.... nothing. My mind went blank, and I started to panic. I slowly close my eyes, hoping to calm down and.... well...... improvised. I improvised hard. I just sang whatever came to mind, and the next two-thirds of the song could only be described as "random french noises". Literally, the most stereotypical, and probably slightly insulting, noises you can think of when imagining the french language. I couldn't even look my professor in the eyes during our next lesson. And when she asked my thoughts on how the french piece went, I could only sheepishly reply, "What french?". Moral of the story: fake it till you make it. In the end, only a couple of seniors and the professors noticed what I did. 😅

Here we go: While in the military I was in Thailand at a very sketchy amusement park and among the attractions was a mechanical bull. There were a few girls that I thought would be impressed by ability to ride a mechanical bull, so I enthusiastically jumped onto the bull and ripped my shorts (SpongeBob style). Mind you, we took a bus to this amusement park, and this happened in the first 15 minutes of being there. We were there for about 6 more hours. I didn’t even last 8 seconds on the bull. THEN, I wanted to show that it didn’t bother me, so I went on to the next attraction which was a climbing event. I didn’t think it would be a big deal since it was basically just a suspended bridge… nope, there was a zip line at the end that went over the ENTIRE park. There was no other option (again, very sketchy park). So I proceeded to ride the zip line in a seated harness across the entire park, underwear on display like it was a fashion accessory. I would pay good money to just have struck out on slow pitch softball…

My most embarrassing moment was when I was working at a restaurant and there was this female bartender there I had a crush on. She had a beautiful face and amazing hazel eyes. She also had very long hair. One day all the line guys were discussing their crushes and I mentioned this bartender. One of the other guys said she was beautiful but had the body of a twenty-year-old boy. We all kind of looked at him weird and I realized he wasn't far off. Cut to an hour later when I am in the break room, and she walks in and says out of the blue "Hey Dave. I was thinking of cutting my hair really short. What do you think?" Without thinking I say "Don't do that. The guys would really not know if you were a guy." And then time stopped. I relived every single mistake I ever made in my life and none of them, not a single one, came close to the ultimate fuck up I just vomited out of my mouth. I don't know if she was an amazing actress or was genuinely curious about my answer but she asked "What do you mean?" I stumbled for a fraction of a second and said "Well, you, ah, know in a really dark bar and uh there are wall to wall people and you ah look over and think is that a guy or a girl?" She replies "Oh, I know what you mean." I RAN out of that room in a cold sweat. We ended up getting married. Just kidding I pretty much never talked to her again other than normal work interaction. She never made me feel bad or embarrassed. I did that plenty to myself.

We had more people than seats on the car ride home from a long night of dancing and drinking, so us 3 guys sat in the back with one girl, Jo, laying across us. I was in the middle and my friend Adam was to left of me. We were all super tired, eyes closing, not talking much. I had one arm over Jo, essentially acting as her defective seat belt, and the hand holding hers. I started to caress her hand a little bit, then a little bit more... She was caressing my hand back. I started to caress higher and was surprised. Her hand was pretty hairy. I looked down to see the hairy hand in my hand, followed the arm up to the owner, and saw Adam looking at me and grinning ear to ear. He thought it was hilarious. I got shuttering chills of disgust and embarrassment that are best portrayed in Family Guy, when Stewie realizes the teet he has been suckling from does not belong to Louis, but indeed is Peter's.

As you requested, here's my most embarrassing story... During 8th grade (there was no Junior High School at that time - 1962) the High School I would be going to had a Basketball Tournament for the Elementary Schools that sent students to it the next school year. One of the players from another school won the "Most Sportsman Like" trophy of the tournament. I'm sitting in the gym (100's of people) with my friends and I said out loud, "Aaah, he probably goes home and beats his Mother every night". Unfortunately, the lady sitting next to me (his Mom) said, "No he doesn't." I will never forget my embarrassment at that moment in my life. What a jerk I was! 😑

This one time, I threw out my back while playing with my kids at the park. My wife intially gave me grief, but felt bad because I was really in pain. She went and got me some hot wings and a bottle of decent bourbon (we are in Kentucky). I indulged in both to much, and soon fell asleep. I woke up around 2 am, still drunk and with the hot wings burbling up. I went to throw up, but my back seized up and striped the wall. I thought to myself, "well, I can't do that again, just drink a bottle of pepto, hobble back to bed, and deal with it in the morning." So i drunkenly grabbed the first square bottle i could find, chugged it. It didn't taste like pepto. My eyes flew open as i read the bottle... Milk of Mag. Couldn't puke it up because of my back. My wife found me standing in the shower 30 minutes later, crying and crapping. How's that for an embarrassing story? Anyway, I don't drink anymore and I like your wood work videos.

Charging $25000 for two tables is not stupid, it's genius if someone will pay it. You should charge as much as you can actually get for your work. Paying $25000 for two tables on the other hand, absolutely idiotic lol. My embarrassing story is that I used to swim in national competitions and I was considered "good." The scenario was a swimming pool with about 2,000 people watching. It was one of my first competitions (I was around 10 years old). We were called by our names and we stood up at the starting blocks, waiting until everyone was silent and the race began. We were in the finals, and I was one of the favorites, so I was nervous and I forgot to tie my swimsuit. You can imagine what happened when I jumped into the water and how ashamed I was after competing without clothes in front of 2,000 people. Luckily, I won.

@@minch5537 "Income inequality" is generally a term used by those who don't want to work towards making more money. There's a difference between equal outcome and equal opportunity. The people that complain about income inequality want equal outcome for all... They want to do as little work as possible and make the same amount as those that have worked their entire lives to get where they are. Believe it or not... Nothing is holding these people back but themselves. If you want to be able to afford an $18,000 table... Work for it. Put the effort in. "Don't blame others for the road you're on. That's your own asphalt."
