Standard round toilet can be had at Home Depot for around $140.00 (US). With the wax ring, let's say $150.00 all in. It really is a simple job to replace. First time it took me about an hour, and my skill level is total amateur. Assuming the whole Ramen things can work, you are still going to spend at least $50,00 (US) in materials and special shaping tools. @@DS-ip4ns I'm not so good but the brushes and rollers I use are the best. They make what I do come out better. If you try to clean cheap rollers the nap falls out of them. @briereckersley88234 ай бұрын
I think most UK builds and USA are different due to cost of wood. Our walls are mostly hollow, it's a wood frame with thin drywall, for exterior walls there is insulation. But the real answer is most American walls are mostly air. However, to be fair this is based on my knowledge of American walls and historical differences because of local wood supplies, I don't know much about how modern UK walls are built
@opie7afe4 ай бұрын
Our walls in america used to be framed as normal then thin slats were put on the interior wall with a small gap between and then plaster added on top...which yeah you would bust your knuckles...but times change. Now they just use drywall.
@pirateadam36864 ай бұрын
@@opie7afeSo what is drywall then? We have gypsum plasterboard that is about 12 mm/0.5 inches thick and is pretty damned strong, especially if you put two layers together. Two reasons the ramen toilet did not work. 1) The reason they dumped them into the toilet like they did was they added water. This caused the ramen to stick to itself and removed a lot of the air voids. 2) They cheated. They cut away from when they are shaping the ramen to painting it. They were able to come close, but that shot of the final paint was them just painting an unbroken toilet.
@OneOfDisease4 ай бұрын
they probably didn't use CA glue either. Epoxy with vacuum pumps. Or probably just fake like everything else, way easier to fake it.

~~The Pringle can deal was in Handy Man yrs ago&OK. If it's at home,when you're done painting for the day/altogether. If you have to pour lil more paint out so can load the entire roller up really good then put it in bottom of little plastic grocery bag. If there's print make sure it's on the outside, you'll be able to pull it off the frame too w/minimal mess. Wrap it tight&2nd bag as well seal the lip w/masking tape where you write what it is too. Flat&Eggshell will keep about a year in the fridge crisper. Satin&Gloss 3-6mos. ~~2nd Tip; If you started w/5gal paint transfer what's left to gallon&quart cans. Want store w/as little excess air as possible. Gallon then quart obviously making sure the lids completely sealed then store on a shelf upside down. Moment you store it everything starts to settle&next time you need it'll be 100x easier to mix when everything will be on the top now.
