Sometimes a movie comes out that just flops. As your cringe your way through it, you sometimes find yourself being uplifted by the great music curated for the soundtrack. We take a look at a few prime examples and share some of our favorites!
Sit back and enjoy while we share some music (and movie) trivia, discuss the titles, rant a bit, and have a few laughs!

Good one Bob - that movie was terrible- Stephen Kings directorial debut- glad he didn’t quit his day job 😂 - the soundtrack was musically a different direction for AC/DC but it still rocks!! Thanks for sharing and watching our channel- we like your style 😎

You missed a big one by not mentioning Xanadu. ELO, Cliff Richard and Olivia Newton John with The Tubes singing songs such as Suddenly, Magic, Don't walk away, I'm alive and Suspended in time.

Ian Macdonald is one of my favorite musicians. Any relation? Founding member of Foreigner, King Crimson, Mcdonald / Giles, etc.....And yes, that soundtrack definitely far outshined the movie!!!!!

How about The Keep? Not a terrible movie but definitely not one of Michael Manns best, although the soundtrack is killer. The synth juxtaposed with the historical setting sets a great mood.

Swordfish (lots of Paul Oakenfold, if you like techno); Romeo + Juliet (personally hated the movie, but Radiohead, Everclear, The Cardigans, etc...)

I share your sentiments on the Romeo and Juliet film - but that soundtrack is great! Have not seen swordfish- guess I never will thanks to you (no I don’t like techno 😮 either- thanks for sharing your thoughts- thanks for tuning in!! 🤩😁

Batman Forever (95) - PJ Harvey, The Flaming Lips, U2! Jim Carey and Tommy Lee Jones made it watchable, but still a tough movie to sit through

good point out! - that movie drags tail - the soundtrack is decent - nice thing about soundtracks in general is you can pick the CD or LP pretty cheap and get a nice compilation of tunes - thanks for watching 😁😉🤟🏻

Spawn: The Album - some collaborations are better than others, but definitely concept of the album stands out.

I agree I never liked Spawn the character in general- but your right the soundtrack is pretty wild - I added it to my Tidal playlist- thank you for sharing and checking us out - more to come!!!

Ok, Flash Gordon is great if you take it as it is Campy turned up to 11! Dino De Laurentiis classic! Sgt. Peppers could be swept into the dustbin of history and the two people who liked it would be sad. But some of the best Beatles covers ever! I'd like to add, Red Planet soundtrack. Its a great soundtrack. I actually play it for background when we play Catan

I will have a listen to that red planet soundtrack- I hate to admit that when I was a younger fella I kind of liked the Sgt Peppers movie- years past and I decided to watch it again - now I remember why I quit taking hard drugs 🤔😉😁😳

@@goldenimagemusic I remembered after I was driving around today that on the 20th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper's on WGN they played the movie, at 9pm new they began the newscast "It was 20 years ago today Sgt. Pepper's was released" ( I was 12) The next day I was shopping with my mom and I found, what I thought, was the soundtrack. It was the Beatles! And as Ole' Ben Kenobi said "you've taken your first step into a larger world". Been a fan of the Beatles ever since 👍😁

Great idea- good movies with killer soundtracks! I wrote it down 😉 Repo man is a decent flick- I can listen to some punk when the time is right- usually after a nice refreshing divorce 😳

Queen of the Damned, didn't care for that take of the story, but the soundtrack was very good.

I know some like it, but I think it was just Sean Penn Oscar bait, The "I Am Sam" soundtrack had some really great Beatles covers by 90's grunge artists.

Great show gents. Loved the soundtrack off Xanadu… the movie not so much. I mean ELO with some of their best. And Olivia Newton John in her sexy cuteness.

Didn't Eliot Smith do the Good Will Hunting soundtrack? most wouldn't call that rock though. Most also wouldn't call "Good Will Hunting" a bad movie

All good soundtracks don't have to be rock..,,.,but it helps!
