3.5 swap the charger. You'll need just the upper wiring harness and the ac lines along with the serpentine assembly (ac alternator power steering etc, really a complete 3.5 engine intake throttle body) from the 3.5, the ECU will run the 3.5 plug and play. You'll need the airbox and the intake also. But 250 hp and a better made engine.

Here in Texas, you need to hire a broker or have a dealer’s license to buy any clean title cars from Copart. Salvage title cars don’t require a dealer’s license or a broker.

Majority of “buy now cars”or any car with “minor dents & scratches “ or “Enhanced” vehicles at copart have engine trouble, and or transmission issues. They don’t list it as mechanical unless it’s visible. Just expect that when you looking. It be good deals sometimes but you gotta be careful. Unc aint get a bad deal for 900$ he could part it out and make dat back or buy another one and swap parts. He still good.

ATX-CVPI 5.7 prior to 2016 are junk hemis..too many roller lifters eating camshafts. Even after 2016 I wouldn't trust it. Mopar makes a "car"..that's about it. Not much to write home about unless it's really special. Too many engine issues, electrical issues (guage clusters failing because of cold solder joints) - I've had this twice with my own previous mopars- the more you research, the more problems they have accross their entire platform. Every car made is junk..every car, if they weren't, you wouldn't have to "schedule" a repair to be made.

@@doylesmith8678 some people on other sites just don't want to believe it! about that 5.7 Hemi!!! but I have seen a few 300's, and Chargers in our shop, and in the SALVAGE YARD.. when they get around that 100,000-mile mark have those problems. but sometimes, a good specialty oil can help, but me personally I only use Castrol in all my vehicles and have always surpassed in the mid-200,000-mile mark with absolutely no engine problems but (sensors are a different problem) and still was able to sell them with that mileage, and this was all kinds of vehicles no matter the manufacturer.

Those 2.7l v6 engines man. I had a 2007 charger with one on my lot. Person came and did a cold start plus rev to the moon like you guys did. Timing chain skipped and bent all the valves. Thing ran mint too. Needless to say I didnt like the 2.7 anymore.

My first car was a used car and I had it for a minute until the rod start knocking. Everybody was telling me to put air plane oil in it and sell it to stop the knocking til it can be sold. The body was in good condition but it needed a motor so I just sold it as is.

That engine has dust caked on like a flood car. Then again I'm in Florida, take pictures for car dealerships but they'll buy flood units and fix them, they come in with that thick coat of tan dust caked on every time, but maybe it's regular dust buildup. If that kind of dust is in the airvents and stuff too then you know it was flooded, they usually clean them up pretty good to hide it but usually don't get the vents.
