I own a 2001 glx 1.8 t...What i learned is ..One must have a lot of patience and money to own one..And be mechanically enclined..These things are temperamental..and fragile..When they do run right..which isn't often..They are a lot of fun..

Haha. Yeah, I tend to own cars with questionable reliability. I think I now have most niggles sorted (for now). Will do a video soon with a report. Hopefully I've not ballsed things up too much. 😅

Do you still have the bug? I’m in a similar position with the boost surging. I like that intercooler. Where did you get it?

Yep, still have it. Just been swamped with my main project on the channel. The surging was the return pipe from the boost supply to the boost feed. Common issue. Split right through it. The IC was bought from the states, company called Tyrol Sport.

Oil pressure can also be lost from bearings as they bypass oil out the sides during normal running. As they wear out they bypass more oil and the pressure drops lower, exacerbating the problem. How big a job is it to drop the sump and check bearing condition? 2017 NYE I pulled the sump off my SR and changed bearings.. it was knocking its head off. Still running today!

Haha, mad. Wish I could work that fast. Will be doing full readings on the engine and report in the future. I'm hoping it's something straight forward, and not internal. But, with age...
