I had the same surgery and that is the biggest hurdle that when you want to go out to eat you can only eat a couple bites!Keep it up girl I still push my limits with eating because you cant cut off the good food on special occasions.Happy Birthday and keep up the awesome work!

I like that you have new ABA goals for Abbie. Even to me (a fellow autism parents whose son had at home ABA for 7 years) I often feel that she resists the tasks as being imposed on her as a matter of rote, but hopefully she will realize that ABA is giving her the tools she needs which will allow her to achieve her own goals. I see the beginnings of the desire for independence and her nest building as more than just a compulsion. I also see the beginnings of the desire to socialize (when she led Lauren to her room) and to comfort others (like when she gave something to Braylee Wee to comfort her during a meltdown.) I get the feeling that one day she is going to do something that truly amazes us.

Have you guys thought about building your own house? I know the market here in Canada is ridiculous and sometimes it is less expensive to build your own. Happy Birthday, Priscilla!! I am new to yall's page, but I am hooked and have been watching for the last 3-4 weeks non-stop. I watch you guys and realize my husband is 35, and I am 36 (I am 4 months older than my husband.) But you two seem to have your life so much more together than us!! We have been together since 2005, married since 2008, and we have 4 year old twin boys. But I wish I had my life together like you guys do!!! I am so proud of your weightloss as well. I had RNY gastric bypass surgery in December 2010, it is very difficult to not celebrate with food! I get it! If you would like to talk, I am here!! Also, on another note, I used to sell younique but realized I wasn't in love with their makeup! I might be interested in trying Limelight.

I had to laugh when Abbie chunked the packages. My severe ASD son would have probably done the same. I noticed Abbie doesn’t want to look at the task at hand when working with the therapist. We have dealt with this as well when trying to teach our son who is almost exactly a year older than Abbie.

I have a niece that is autistic. She's verbal, but not a lot. I always wonder what she's thinking when she's just sitting somewhere, not doing anything. This is so scary! My sister in law is now looking at assisted living facilities. Because none of us are getting any younger. My other niece( her sister), and my girls all have plans for college and my niece with autism is just left behind. Its sad. Good luck. Do you have a plan for when she's older and you're no longer able to care for her?

I know the negative attention seeking behaviors are rough, but it made me smile because sometimes it makes me feel better knowing I am not the only one. I am a foster parent that takes elevated behavioral needs children. I have a 5 year old who I call the trifecta. He is highly manipulative, controlling, and attention seeking. Love your entire family and the wonderful things you do to help everyone understand Autism.

I agree with Priscilla. It was not meant to be. And you will see when you find THE ONE! You will love it even more. We are currently renting. But finally able to get a BETTER place. We have been looking for 2 months. In that time, I fell in love with a house. It was absolutely perfect for us! It had some "above and beyond" things we needed. Well, TOMORROW WE ARE MOVING!! FINALLY!!!! And this home is even BETTER!!!! And to think how upset we were! Hang in there!!!! You will find it! It may just not be ready yet! It will happen!

The biggest thing I've learned about autism from watching your channel is that it doesn't matter whether they're verbal or not, the same issues, meltdowns, behaviors, etc are all there. This kinda made me laugh because my daughter is verbal/high functioning and 12:43 - 13:10 is me and her every day!

Reefs are actually really comfortable but you have to find the old style Sandy’s on Poshmark. Ive been buying up every pair i find, Reef made a huge mistake changing the style and cut of all their flip flops, you have to buy 2-3 sizes bigger than youd normally wear now. Ive been wearing them for 21 years nonstop since nothing else fits and i even wear them in the snow in winter, i have hardware in my foot, and its not too bad. Happy Birthday!!!🎈🎉🎁🎉🎈
