I would argue that if the entire universe were ripped to shreds, everything were to be vaporized, and nothing would be left to perceive the concept of the universe being destroyed, being bad, in the first place. Meanwhile, everyone trapped in 2D universe, is now required to live through that experience, conceptualizing how bad it is.
