That was good ! Refreshingly different ! Bringing us back in time to when they played like that all night long in the bars.

The mention of jazz being played in bars brought to mind my very first contact with Humphry Littleton's first band who played one night a week in Golders Green's Reflectory Resturant/bar in 1948. Monty Sunshine in his prime and the many musicians from other trad groups who dropped by. A very happy memory.

Like this a lot. Takes me back. I went to a party at the North Middlesex Hospital and one of the doctors was playng this along with many other boogies, Oh happy days. Now when I go to the hospital they put me on a nebuliser :-( I've been trying to get hold of a copy of Humph's original version from the '50s. I've put Humph's New Bad Penny Blues on KZbin and would dearly like to listen to the original to compare.

True - possibly also needs Joe Meek to fix the sound as he allegedly did to annoy Humph!!

Hi Maolchalium, Like all your videos and jazz, I have a copy of the original EP by Humph, as soon as I get a USB turntable, it's going on. None of these versions seem to hit the right spot.
