I have the Flipside Video concert on VHS you guys played at the Olympic way back in 1984. I was just a third grader back then but saw Bad Religion a few times from the 90s to the 2000s. It's amazing you might have guys bringing grandkids to shows!

What is really sad is that nothing here has changed. This video is HOW OLD? and they mention things like how we are sending our work overseas because it is cheaper and how it is effecting us and making us unhappy. They mention how the middle class is being erased and the poor keep getting poorer... It is frightening to see that these were issues then and even bigger ones now.
@flassk710 жыл бұрын
Actually things HAVE changed: things now are even worse.
@sandwichfucking10110 жыл бұрын
Well it seems they didn't play anything beyond Against the Grain so it had to be between 1990-1992. So about 22-24 years. Things will probably continue to get worse until Americans stop the Democrat/Republican charade in the government and in the populace. Literally all we need to do is realize the problem and come together and solve it as one. It's quite scary to think people still aren't willing to do so

How I miss Bobby on Drums...Good Old 90s
@julianiitheapostateconstan6744 Жыл бұрын
I know Bobby. He’s a bit of an ass tbh but hey, he taught me the secret to getting good bass lines! So I guess I have that to thank him for. Edit: Bobby plays guitar and bass in addition to drums. He also told me that you shouldn’t overdo it when playing or you might end your career.
@markomarkovic5729 Жыл бұрын
@@julianiitheapostateconstan6744 That's why BR sounded best with him on drums, because even though Brooks is a better drummer from a technical standpoint, he tends to overplay, which is especially noticeable when you listen to the live versions of the songs that Bobby originally played. Bobby was fast, precise and steady and I really like the tone of his drums. Basically, Bobby played just the way punk drummer should play.
@jaimedavis4392 жыл бұрын
i understand the argument against commercial popularization of 'punk' rock. however, as everything, 'punk' is relative. some bands, blink 182, green day, the sex pistols, rancid etc, they began with the hope of mainstream popularity in mind. they're less a platform of/for shared ideals or method for change, than they are truly rebels with zero cause. pissing of parents endlessly with a finger but no substantial thought. then you have bad religion, propaghandi, the clash even, the dead Kennedy's for sure. ppl with open eyes, open minds & thankfully open mouths. they promote & hopefully provoke change. we can only hope bands such as these reach mainstream audiences. 'punk' is a lifestyle, but how one manifests this says everything. do they spend their $ feeding the capitalist machine at hot topic or put it into booth time & tour buses? that all being said, you don't have to be radicalized to have a good band. its just a different kind of punk

Billy was a lunatic just barking at the moon, and his brain.... was totally wasted, he gladly traded friends for a needle and a spoon, and he threw.... his future away. Greg Graffin does not condone drug use, especially not drug abuse. Brett left the band to get clean. He had a lot of problems with drugs in the late 80s and nineties, but as far as i know hes been clean for decades.
