Gotta say, after hearing the outakes from the old box set and other places, some of those are actually better than the "official" versions. I mean, vampira actually sounds bad ass slowed down.

Totally Agree. The alternate versions of NIKE A~GO~GO are fantastic!

I love the Song Shop sessions. I think the best version of Vampira's either that or the 12 Hits version

I like that you can hear Glenn more clearly in this version of Some Kinda Hate. I can hear a lot of the Elvis influence in his voice.

"outtake" but it sounds so clear and good

i think outtake just means it was recorded but didnt make the final cut of the release.. so its not that surprising its in studio quality
@chip135410 ай бұрын
An outtake is a mistake, meaning they were in the studio, but didn’t like this version.

Yea, Jerry and Doyle aren't really doing great in this version. Lots of mistakes and just a bad sound

I don’t care what anyone says - the lyric is definitely not “cracked necks by settled limbs”. It sounds more like “set of slams” or something.
@chriswalshe4996 ай бұрын
There's a few Misfits documented lyrics that I think are wrong. Astro Zombies is not " prime directive exterminate". I think it's just "I'd do anything to exterminate" you listen.
@zaccrookmusic6 ай бұрын
@@chriswalshe499 Most of their lyrics are wrong online. Fortunately, they included a lyric sheet in Walk Among Us. According to Danzig’s sheet, it is “prime directive”.

Like music should be recorded.. Without 15 guitar tracks.. No auto tune volcals.. No triple line session.. Shitty solos kept.. And it sounds just as good live..

"This session was taped with a 16-track recorder onto three reels of 2" tape. Since Franché Coma had not yet learned all the songs when they first entered the studio, Danzig laid down the initial guitar tracks on "Static Age" and "TV Casualty," and Franché added his own guitar tracks later. Franché played barre or open chords and used both up and down strokes on all 17 songs. He added one or two extra guitar tracks to each take selected for release; "Attitude," "We Are 138," "Some Kinda Hate," and "Spinal Remains" had three guitar tracks and "Theme For A Jackal" had four" This track (maybe not THIS outtake lol, certainly not during the solo section here, but the official Static Age release version of the song) has all kinds of overdubs. Vocal dubs are present as well.
