The woman doing the bridge vocals is Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde. She goes way back with them, her boyfriend back in the day recorded Bad Religion’s first EP She also has songwriting credits with Brett Gurewitz in the song “Television” on the Stranger Than Fiction album

Hell yes bois!! Eddie Vedder actually sang the 2nd verse on Watch it die. Apparently they bumped into him and told him they were recording the album. They asked if he wanted to be on it and was he was like "sure". lol. Also Struck a Nerve is so good. Love the imagery of the song and is such a surprise when it comes on and has that slower pace. Keep it up boys and in case no one has said it yet, welcome to the Bad Religion club!!!!!

Great guys! Do you notice that the lyrics, both songs, are even more up to date than back in 1993? Pollution, climatic dangers, social loneliness… love these songs! Bad Religion wrote many awesome bridges, but this bridge in Struck a Nerve with Johnette Napolitano ist just pure art und beauty! 👍🤘

Watch It Die "featuring" Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Struck A Nerve "featuring" Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde). Eddie Vedder also did some backing vocals on American Jesus.

@@KnightscastStudios For Concrete Blonde, I'd recommend "Still In Hollywood"; it's their most punk-style song, in my opinion. Plus, Chuck would probably appreciate the appropriately-placed F bomb in it. 🙂

I always heard “Watch it Die” as a dirge. It fits pretty well.

I'm 50 soon. Was looking for music from 90-93 in line with my scateing friends back then. "Struck a Nerve" was one of my favorites from that decennium and you guys popped into the field. Are you really listening for the first time? Awesome if so. Wish I could be that young sitting with all that music from earlier ages just waiting for it to pop up for the really first time, and not already have heard it all yet.

That's what we all say. Bad religion. I like that shit. I got hooked at 16 and I'm 42 now. My God imma be so sad when they call it quits. That is one special band. Appreciate every song. You stumbled on to one of the best. That band has been the soundtrack to my best and worst times and got me through a lot. The nofx totally ending has my heart fkd up as well.

Johnette Politano from "Concrete Blonde" is the female back-up singer in Struck a Nerve. So glad you guys like these two songs. I do think you guys are adjusting a little bit. But I also think you are missing Brett Gurewitz's songs a bit on this album. Listen to them more and you will recognize them.
