+RonHeartsMe back then Mitch did his 'bro voice' even when singing because he was still being bullied for his voice so was probably uncomfortable with it. Even during the sing off he stuck to lower notes most of the time (if you look at the superfruit video of them reacting to their old sing off songs Mitch even says 'oh look it's masc mitch' like that was a character she played)...so the really low notes he did back then were never really in her range...like she can probably still 'fake' them but obviously it makes more sense to stick to her actual range and let Scott and Avi take the lower parts.

I love how even when Scott was soloing, Mitch was just like "NOPE! PIANO PIECE BABY!!!!" You could tell that Scott wanted that solo so badly, and that Mitch just would NOT let him have it!!! :-) I love these two along with the rest of Pentatonix. Superfruit is just as fabulous.

Earl Joseph Yeah they know that they just mean when Scott would be singing alone or Mitch would be singing alone. It's still a duet they're just not singing at the same time. Of course Scott know it was a duet, he was just forgetting his parts/forgetting when to stop singing and let Mitch sing. I'm pretty shure he even forgot some lyrics at one point. That's our Scott (: He admits today, five years later that he still has a difficult time remembering song lyrics. Haha.
