We are the Monsters of Shamisen. Usually including Masahiro Nitta and Mike Penny but today it is just Grant Reimer, Kyle Abbott and Kevin Kmetz.
We play Bad Romance by Lady Gaga ON the Japanese Shamisen.

@johnotakum haha! I understand. I hated this song too until the other guys (in this vid) convinced me to try playing it on Shamisen. Now it has become somewhat of a trademrak of us for better or worse. We also do a cover of Paparazzi (filmed in an actual airplane cockpit) that one was fun too. Oh well, back to studying traditional Tsugaru Shamisen (for now anyway). Thanks for the comment!

@kinomianimetree101 You can definately play pretty much whatever you want.. >.> But you have to understand the basics, like proper tuning settings, finger numbers, when to stick to what string...but it's a versatile instrument because it's mainly halfsteps. My brother figured out pretty much everything he ever learned on guitar after a day...but the correct way to hold it, not so much XDDD. Good luck!
